《跨文化交际》教学大纲课程编号：02043811a总学时数：48学时学分：3学分一、课程的性质及任务《跨文化交际》是对外汉语教学专业本科交际教学计划中的一门重要的专业选修课。通过课堂讲授及相关活动使学生熟悉跨文化交际对当今世界所具有的重要意义。现代高科技的发展，特别是传播通讯技术和交通技术的进步，以及经济的高度全球化，带来了全球性的时间和空间的紧缩，使得不同国家、不同种族和民族的人越来越频繁地接触和交往成为一种可能和必然。跨文化交际学便是在这样的一个背景下兴起的一门新兴学科。本课程的设置旨在揭示影响跨文化学的基本理念和观点，揭示影响跨文化交际的深层因素，提高学生的跨文化意识。并且通过对东西方跨文化交际过程的案例分析、实践与比较研究，培养和提纲学生跨文化跨国交际的能力和素养。本课程是一门理论与实践相结合的课程，对于培养和提高我校学生的人文素养和今后就业的竞争力有一定的积极作用。二、本课程的基本内容《跨文化交际》课程所选教材为纪玉华编著《跨文化交际实用教程》，适合英语专业二年级或以上的学生使用。该课程教学重点在于培养学生对英语国家文化的了解及跨文化交际意识,提高驾驭英语语言的能力,从而使其能得体地运用语言与操英语的外国人士进行交流。课程授课以讲解为主,课堂讨论为辅。教师的讲授重点是帮助学生认识中西文化的异同，分析文化差异的根源,帮助学生深化对西方文化的理解。Chapter1CultureandCulturalIdentity（一）教学目的与要求：通过本章的学习，了解文化的定义，文化的分类，了解跨文化交际学的学科性质和发展历史。分析如何看待文化身份。（二）教学重点与难点：理解文化理论，运用文化理论分析社会生活中的文化现象。（三）课时安排：8学时（四）主要内容:1.understandthedefinitionsof“culture”and“culturalidentity”2.Distinguish“visibleculture”from“invisibleculture”,“bigCculture”form“SmallCculture”;“highculture”from“anthropologicalculture”.3.Perceivethedifferencebetween“mainstreamculture”and“sub-culture/co-culture”.Chapter2CommunicationandInterculturalCommunication（一）教学目的与要求：了解跨文化交际的定义，理解文化与交际之间的复杂关系，以及影响跨文化交际的因素（二）教学重点与难点：文化与交际之间的复杂关系。（三）课时安排：6学时（四）主要内容:1.Understandtheintricaterelationshipbetweencultureandcommunication2.Perceivedifferencesincommunicationacrosscultures.3.Distinguishintercultural,international,intracultural,interethnicandinterracialcommunication.4.Summarizethedefinitionofinterculturalcommunication.Chapter3VerbalInterculturalCommunication（一）教学目的与要求：了解语言与文化的关系。语言是文化的载体，承载着文化，反映着文化。语言本身也是文化的组成部分。（二）教学重点与难点：有关语言与文化的关系的理论，如萨佩尔-沃尔夫假说。以及跨文化交际中语言产生障碍的原因。（三）课时安排：6学时（四）主要内容:1.understandtheimportanceofverbalcommunicationininterculturalsettings;2.Identifytranslationproblemsaslinguisticbarrierstointerculturalcommunication;3.Distinguishlackofequivalencesinvocabulary,idioms,grammarandsyntax,experiencesandconceptsbetweenEnglishandChinese;4.Compareandcontrastverbalcommunicationstylesandwrittencommunicationstylesacrosscultures.Chapter4NonverbalInterculturalCommunication（一）教学目的与要求：了解跨文化交际中不同文化、不同国家之间的非语言交际的差异（二）教学重点与难点：跨文化交际中的非语言交际（三）课时安排：4学时（四）主要内容:1.understandthedefinitionsofnonverbalInterculturalCommunication;2.Distinguishthevariouscategoriesofnonverbalcommunication:paralanguage,silence,chronemics,proxemics,oculesics,olfactics,haptics,kinessics,chromaticsandattire.3.Analysecross-culturaldifferencesinnonverbalcommunication.Chapter5InterculturalCommunicationBarriers（一）教学目的与要求：了解跨文化交际的障碍：情绪焦虑，假定存在相似点而非差异，种族主义，刻板印象，偏见，民族主义；了解克服跨文化交际障碍的方法。（二）教学重点与难点：跨文化交际的障碍（三）课时安排：4学时（四）主要内容:1.understandinterculturalcommunicationbarriers2.Distinguishbarrierscausedbyemotionalandattitudinalproblems;3.Perceivethedifferencesbetweenethnocentrism,stereotyping,prejudiceandracism;4.Overcomeinterculturalcommunicationbarrierscausedbyemotionalbarriersandattitudinalbarriers.Chapter6TheHiddenCoreofCulture（一）教学目的与要求：了解文化的核心：世界观和文化价值观，（二）教学重点与难点：世界观和文化价值观的分析和学习（三）课时安排：4学时（四）主要内容:1.Understandthedefinitionsof“worldview”and“value”;2.Comprehendthedifferentdimensionsofculturalvalues;3.StudyculturalpatterntheoriesintroducedbyKluckhohn&StrodtbeckandGeertHosftede.4.Applythesedimensionsandorientationstoeasternandwesterncultures.Chapter7SocialInteractionCustoms（一）教学目的与要求：了解不同文化之间社会交往过程中的风俗习惯差异（二）教学重点与难点：不同文化之间社会交往过程中的风俗习惯差异（三）课时安排：4学时（四）主要内容:1.Understandtheinfluenceofcultureonsocialinteractioncustoms:2.Handlegreetingsandfarewells,invitationsandresponses,appointmentsandvisiting,complimentsandresponsesininterculturalcontexts;3.Managecross-culturaldifferencesinhospitalityandgift-giving;4.Avoidsocio-pragmaticfailureandcross-culturalmisunderstanding.InterpersonalRelationshipChapter8（一）教学目的与要求：了解不同文化、不同国家里人际关系的差异（二）教学重点与难点：分析不同文化背景下家庭关系、师生关系、友谊关系、雇佣关系等关系的差异。（三）课时安排：4学时（四）主要内容:1.Understandthedefinitionofinterpersonalrelationship;2.Compareandcontrastfamilyties,friendships,andinterpersonalrelationshipsintheeducationalcontextaswellasthebusinesscontextintheeastandinthewest;relationshipandkinshiprelationships;3.Recognizethesubdivisionswithinthefamilystructure:maritalrelationship,parental4.Relatedifferencesininterpersonalrelationshipstoculturalvalues.Chapter9CultureShockandInterculturalAdaptation（一）教学目的与要求：了解文化适应的概念，分析文化适应的现象（二）教学重点与难点：文化适应的四种模式（三）课时安排：4学时（四）主要内容:1.Understandtheprocessofacculturation;2.Recognizethedifferentmodesofacculturation:assimilation,integration,separation/segregationandmarginalization;3.Beawareofsymptomsandeffectsofcultureshock;4.Masterthestagesofinterculturaladaptation--U-curveandW-curvepatterns;5.Developskillsandstrategiestoovercomecultureshockandachieveinterculturaladaptation.Chapter10InterculturalCommunicationCompetence（一）教学目的与要求：了解跨文化交际能力（二）教学重点与难点：跨文化交际能力的自我测试和培养（三）课时安排：4学时（四）主要内容:6.Understandthedefinitionofinterculturalcommunicationcompetence;7.Recognisethetworequirementsforinterculturalcommunicationcompetence:effectivenessandappropriateness.8.Distinguishthecomponentsofinterculturalcommunicationcompetence:knowledge,motivation,andskillsandstrategies;9.Becomeproficientinterculturalcommunicators.三、教学方法：以学生为中心，结合东西方语言和文化的特点，通过案例分析来培养学生的分析和鉴别能力，扩展学生对跨文化交际研究的了解和认识。兼顾理论性和实践性，突出指导性和可操作性。四、考核方式:《跨文化交际》为考试课，学期考查成绩由平时成绩和期末考核成绩两部分组成，其中平时成绩占20%，期末考核成绩占8
