reachthetopofQomolangma.XuZhuoyuanhasbeenexploringremoteareaswith

himsinceshewasveryyoung.Despiteheryoungage,XuZhuoyuanhasalready

climbedfivemountainsover5,000metersinChina.Whenshewas12yearsold,she

madeastatementonHunanTVsaying,UIwillclimbQomolangma."

Fouryearslater,sheachievedherpromise.AlthoughXuZhuoyuanhasrich

climbingexperience,shehasbeenexperiencinghigh-intensityprofessionaltraining

non-stoptoconquerQomolangma.Lastyear,sheclimbedMountMuztagata,which

tobirdwatchandlearnaboutbirds.

Evenbackthen,NewSouthWaleswasthecountry*sbirdcallingleader.Students

fromtheNewSouthWalesregionhadaccesstomuchmorebirdsoundsthancitykids.

TheywontheDawsonMemorialShieldforbestbirdcallingsixtimesbetween1953

and1962.Today,NewSouthWalesisbringingbackthebirdcalls.Ledbythe

BourndaEnvironmentalEducationCentre,theBourndaBirdOlympicsrenewedin

2018.Theeventnowfeaturesformerbirdcallingchampion,BruceChapman,asthe

“celebrity”judge.

Whenshowtimefinallyarrives,threejudgesattheBourndaBirdOlympicsrate

peopletakingpartontheirenthusiasm,accuracyandclearness.Theplayerscanearna
