PREFACE前言

商务英语是一个很大的概念,包括了在各个行业中的英语应用,服装业、酒店业、

机械制造业、建材业,电气工业等都有自己特定的术语。但是作为一个整体,商务英语

首先是指和同事、老板、客户之间的沟通技巧,要学会在不同的场合使用不同的语言,

并选择准确、合适的措词。比如,中国人在要求别人做一件事情的时候会说“please”,

觉得这已经很客气了,但是在外国人看来,这仍然是相当生硬的,用“Wouldyouplease..?

才适合商务场合的氛围。再比如在一个很正式的场合你不能说“Hello,nicetomeet

you.”"Longtimenosee.”这样的话,而应说“It'sapleasuretomeetyou”这样尽量严谨的语

言。这些细节需要在进一步的培训中学习。

另外,商务英语还包括文本的规范用法,报告书、介绍信(LettersofIntroduction)>

约定(Appointments)、通知与确认(Acknowledgments&Confirmations)等的写法在商务环

境里都有特定的要求。比如道歉与解释信(Appology&Explanation)不是简单的一句m

sorry”就可以解决的,而是应该用叮hefaultisentirelymineandIdeeplyregretthatit

shouldhaveoccurred.”这样十分规范、正规和专业的语言。

本教程立足于对商务英语的实际运用,结合听、说、读、写训练,以简单的英语

来处理错综复杂的生意。文中的常用句和对话基本上囊括了日常商务交往的内容,学员

可以根据不同场景情况的变化,对所学内容进行变通以达到交流的目的。每课后面的小

提示部分列举了英美国家的文化概况,使学员们在学习之后能够真正用地道的英语与国

外客户交流。附录部分收录了相关行业常用词汇表,以供学员自学查找之用。

询盘是由买方向卖方就某项商品的交易条件提出询问.政盘属于一般性的业务联系,目的在于邀请对方发盘,对交易
