1.6.1 InstallingtheCPUToinstallaCPU:

1. LocatetheCPUsocketonthemotherboard.

2. Presstheleversidewaystounlockthesocket,thenliftituptoa90°-100°angle.

4. CarefullyinserttheCPUintothesocketuntilitfitsinplace.

7. ConnecttheCPUfancabletotheCPU_FANconnectoronthemotherboard.

ToinstalltheCPUheatsinkandfan:

1. PlacetheheatsinkontopoftheinstalledCPU,makingsurethattheheatsinkfitsproperlyontheretentionmodulebase.

•Theretentionmodulebaseisalreadyinstalledonthemotherboarduponpurchase.

•YoudonothavetoremovetheretentionmodulebasewheninstallingtheCPUorinstallingothermotherboardcomponents.

•IfyoupurchasedaseparateCPUheatsinkandfanassembly,ensurethataThermalInterfaceMaterialisproperlyappliedtotheCPUheatsinkorCPUbeforeyouinstalltheheatsinkandfanassembly.
