highereducation.Lastbutnotleast,itcanraisetheintellectualstandardsof

ournation.However,studiesshowthatthetrendtoexpandhasbroughtabout

manyproblems.Forinstance,theteachingfacilitiesandaccommodation

capacitiesofmanycollegesanduniversitiesarelimitedandareunabletomeet

thedemandofanever-increasingnumberofthenewlyenrolledstudents.On

theotherhand,theaveragequalityofthefreshmenisdeclining.Inthelong

run,huntingforajobwillbeatoughthingforthegraduatesandthatwill

this,Iamstillconfidentthattheexpansionofenrollmentisofgreatbenefitto

oursocietyandisagoodthing.Withthedevelopmentofournational

economy,theproblemasmentionedabovewillbesolvedifpropermeasures

aretaken.

8.PsychologicalProblemsofUniversityStudentsThegraphpresentsa

strikingproblemtous.That'sthenumberofuniversitystudentswhosuffer

psychologicalillnessisincreasingrapidlysince1995.Especiallyfrom2000

thenumberisskyrocketing.Severalimportantfactorscontributetothe
