Oneareaofsignificantprogressisimprovingourenergyefficiency,

spaceoptimizationandrenewableenergywhilealsogrowingour

business.Wehavereducedemissionsfromourownoperationsby

24%since2019,eventhoughouremployeeheadcountisup17%.

Thisisanotablemarkerontheroadtoachievingnetzerocarbon

emissionsby2040.

Ourworkwithclientsisessentialtoreachingournetzerogoal

whilehelpingthemachievetheirownsustainabilityaspirations.

BothinvestorsandoccupiersareincreasinglytappingintoCBRE’s

expertisetodevelopstrategicroadmaps,optimizeresourcesand

CBREfollowstheGHGProtocolCorporateAccounting

andReportingStandard(GHGProtocol)tocalculateGHG

emissions.SinceourfirstcorporateGHGinventoryin2008,

wehaveappliedanoperationalcontrolboundaryandhave

continuallyimprovedourmethodology.In2023,wemade

anumberofenhancementstoimprovedatacollection,

automateextrapolationmodelsanddevelopintegratedqualityassurancechecks.

NotablechangestoourGHGinventoryincluderefininghowweestimateenergyuseincorporateofficeswheredatais

notavailable,improvingsupplychainemissionsmodeling

andenhancingourmodeltoestimateenergyuseinbuildingsundermanagement(UseofSoldProducts).Wehavefurtherdescribedthesechangesandotherenhancementsinthe

Wealsorefinedcalculationsfortheinfluenceableportionofourmanagedportfoliotomorecloselyalign

withwhereweprovideenergyandsustainabilityservicesandthereforetheabilitytoinfluenceenergyuse,resultinginanapproximately25%decreaseininfluenceableAUMforGlobalWorkplaceSolutions(GWS).

Further,thereviewidentifiedtheneedtoupdateour2019baselinetoensureconsistency.Indoingso,weidentifiedacalculationerrorthathadcompoundingimpactsinextrapolationandresultedinoverstatedGHGemissionshistorically.Theseadjustmentsweremadetoyears2019-2022toenableyear-over-year

comparability,resultinginadecreaseinemissionsascomparedwithfiguresreportedintheprioryear.

Tovalidatetheseimprovements,

CBREreceivedthird-partyassuranceofScope3.11UseofSoldProductsforthefirsttimefor2023.

OurScope1emissionsprimarilyresultfromfuelconsumptioninourvehiclefleetusedtoservebuildingsmanagedforclients,withminorcontributions

fromTelfordHomesequipmentandmachineryusedintheconstructionofresidentialdevelopments.

In2023,ourScope1emissionsincreasedby16%comparedwithprioryeardue

toincreasedmileageacrossourvehiclefleet.Since2019,we’vedecreasedScope1emissionsby10%,primarilydueto
