Atthesametime,AngkorandtheKhmerEmpirewereincreasinglythreatenedandattackedbyinvading

armies.Bythe16thcentury,thegoldenageofAngkorwasoverandmanyofthegreattemplesbeganto

graduallydisappearintothejungle.
