gerexecutingeffectiveteamworktoachieveandimproveprogressscheduleandbudget.Theprojectconstructionmanagershalldulyinvolveininternalinterfacesamongdisciplinesandexternalinterfaceswithothercontractors/sub-contractors/supplierstoavoidpossibleadverseimpactonconstructionobjectives.InstallationManagerCCFG’sinstallationmanagershallberesponsibletoprojectconstructionmanagerforjobsiteoveralldevelopmentofsteelinstallationworkincludingsteelstructuresiteassembly&rigging,fireresistantpainting,metalcladdingsystemsitefabrication&installation,roofskylight&ventilationunits.TheinstallationmanagershallassistprojectconstructionmanagertocoordinateinterfaceissueswithinMaterialHandlingWarehouses.Theinstallationmanagershall,togetherwithprojectHSEmanager/qualitymanagerandcontrolmanager,devotetoachieveandimproveHSE/quality/schedulegoalsbyproperlycontrol&instructofinstallationworkasperproposedmethodorprocedure.Theinstallationmanagershallbefullyresponsibleforleading&instructinginstallationpeople(cranedriver,equipmentengineer,riggers,signalman,welder,painter,electrician,scaffolderetc)toworkontherighttrackasexpected.ProjectQualityManagerCCFG’sprojectqualitymanagershallbefullyresponsible,onbehalfoftheEPCcontractor,fortheoverallqualitydevelopmentoftheproject.Qualitymanagershallberesponsiblefortheproperexecutionofprojectqualityassurance&controlplan.Thequalitymanagershallkeeptracingthecriticaljobprocedure/sequence,criticalinspection/acceptanceofinstallationwork.Thequalitymanagershallalsoofferadequateprofessionalassistance&instructiontoinstallationpeopletostrivetoexcellentteamwork.ProjectHSEmanagerThesteelinstallationworkisabsolutelycriticalworkwhichissignificanttoprojectHSErecord.ProjectHSEmanagershallbefullyresponsible,onbehalfoftheEPCcontractor,fortheoverallprojectHSEmanagement.HSEmanagershallberesponsiblefortheproperexecutionofprojectHSEplanespeciallyforinstallationrelatedissues.ProjectHSEmanagershall,togetherwithhisHSEengineers/supervisors,offerprofessionalassistanceandinstructiontoallparticipantsofinstallationontheirjobsequences/procedurestodevotejointlytoprojecttargetsofHSE/Quality/ProgressScheduleandBudget.ProjectHSEmanagershallleadprojectteamtoconduct&executeproperHSEmethodlikeHEMP,JHA,JSA,STARRT,ToolBoxMeetingetc.tokeepimprovingprojectHSErecord.ProjectHSEmanagershallofferprofessionalassistance&instructiontoplan/measuresofworker’sinduction&training,equipment&hoisting/rigging,nightshiftwork,specialPPE,fallprotection,workatheight,anti-typhoon,anti-lightningetc.ProjectControlManagerTheconstructiontimeforthisprojectatthisstageisquitetight,flowconstructionandparallel/inter-crossingconstructionsarefrequent.Well-preparedlevelIIIprogressschedule,weeklyscheduleanddailyworkschedulearesignificanttothesuccessofschedulegoals.Projectcontrolmanagershallberesponsiblefortheoverallprogressauditing,updating,diagnosing,andrecovering.Projectcontrolmanagershallofferprofessionalassistance&instructionsonprojectcontrolmattersofengineering,procurement,sub-contracting,installation&construction.Chapter4Specifications&ReferencesTheprojectClientCSPC,ProjectManagementContractorBSFandProjectEPCContractorCCFG&HQhaveissuedseriesofgoverningdocumentsregardingtostandards&specification,HSE,Procedures,siteregulationetc.DEP34.28.00.31-CSPC eryscheduletoensuresmoothsiteinstallation.TheacceptanceundertakenbyCCFG/BSC/PMCbeforedeliverytositeismustandsignificanttotheproject.Documentsalongwithperdeliveryshallincludesteelmemberqualitycertificate,materialtestreports,materialqualitycertificate,NDEreport,WPS/PQR,highboltsqualitypackage,anti-corrosioncoatinginspectionrecord.5.6.2MethodStatementThemethodstatementoferection&installationshallbeproperlypreparedinaccordancewiththeprojectrequirementsandsubmittedtoPMCforreviewandapprovalpriortothestartofwork.Thismethodstatementshallspecifytherequirements&instructionofallrelevantinstallationactivityonconstruction,qualityandHSE.Issuesregardingtohoisting&rigging,technical&qualitycontrol,satisfiedHSEsituationandadverseweatherconditionshallbedulystressed.Detailjobprocedure&flowshallbewell-specifiedtoensurethatalltheworkparticipantsarewellinformedandinstructed.5.6.3Hoisting&riggingTheriggingliftsforsteelstructuralinstallationofMaterialHandlingWarehousesbelongtolightlifts.AccordingPMC’sprojectprocedure,lightliftsdonotrequireaformalriggingplanorcalculations.However,lightlifts,likeroofbeamsectionofabout30mlong,shallbeperformedfollowingprojectrigging&hoistingprocedure,underthedirectionofasuperintendent,aqualifiedcraneoperator,andaqualifiedriggerusingsaferiggingworkpracticesaspermethodstatement.5.6.4ColumnErectionSteelcolumnsshallbeproperlyinspectedandmarkedwithcolumnNo.(C1,C2,),andthentransportandlaydowntoitsproposedlocation,properlysupported200mmabovegroundandperformfirepainting.Whenthefirepaintingiscompletedandafterproperdryperiod,theerectioncanstart.Specialdesignedmovabletoweraccessscaffoldshallbeappliedateverycolumntofacilitaterigging,bolting,adjusting.Toensureliftingstability,safetyline(tagline)shallbeapplied.Toensureerectionstability,allcolumnsmustbeanchoredbyminimumof4anchorbolts.Soonaftertheerectionofeverycolumn,temporaryguycablesshallbeappliedtoensurestabilizationbeforesteelframeiscompleted,toavoidpossiblewindimpact.Therouteandperformanceofriggingequipmentshallbestrictlyinaccordancewithequipmentspecificationandmethodstatement.5.6.5BeamAssembly&installationFirst,beammembersarrivedshallbeproperlyinspectedandmarkedwithmemberNo.,thentransportandlocatetoitssupposedspangroundforfirepaintingpreparation.Afterfirepaintingiscompletedandpassedtheacceptance,beammembersshallbeassembledwithhighboltsaspersectionarrangementforbeaminstallation.Overheaddoubleconnectionmethodwillbeappliedforthisinstallation.Theriggingofbeamsectionshallbeasstrictasperoperationspecs.Safetyline(tagline)shallbeamustforeverybeamlift.Overheadassemblybyboltingtobeamsectionsorcolumnheadshouldbedulyperformed.Duringthefinalplacingofsolidstructuralmembers,theloadmustnotbereleasedfromthehoistinglineuntilthemembersaresecuredwithatleast4boltsperconnection.Properfastenedsteelcablelifelineshallbeintroducedalongeveryroofbeamafterdoubleconnectioniscompleted,tomakeeasysafetybelthangingandoverheadwalkwayonthetopofroofbeamforworkfollows.Onlyafterthebeamsectionsofeveryspanaredulydouble-connectedoverhead,thecolumnsinthisspancanbefinalbolted.Mobiletowerscaffoldshallbeappliedforoverheaddoubleconnectionofbeamsections.5.6.6HighboltingAlltheprimaryconnectionssuchascolumntobeamconnection,connectionofbeamsectiontosectionaredouble-connectionsbyhigh–strengthgripboltsofgrade8.8.Mandatoryinspection&testsonhighboltsshallbeproperlyexecutedbeforethetrialfastening(appendixBofGB50205-2001.ThefasteningofhighboltsgroupshallconformtothesequencerequirementofspecificationJGJ82-91(symmetricalfasteningofhighboltgroupperconnectionfromcentretosides).Inspection&acceptancedetailsofhighboltsshallbeasperprovisionofpart6/GB50205-2001codeforacceptanceofsteelstructure.5.6.7FieldweldingGenerally,almostnoweldingisneededtobeexecutedonsiteexceptforwasherplate(Q345B,24mmthick)weldedtocolumnbaseplate(Q345B,30mmthick)with12mmfilletsize,supportivesteel(Q235)forfirewaterpiping&electricalcabletrayweldedtomainstructureframe(Q345Bcolumnorroofbeam)with6mmfilletsize.AllthesiteweldingactivityshallfollowPMCapprovedprojectweldingprocedureandNDEprocedure.RelevantfieldweldingdocumentslikeWPS/PQRshallbedulypreparedandsubmittedforapprovalseparately.Theinspection&executionofweldingprocedureshallbethecrucialworkoftheinstallationteam.5.7MetalcladdingsysteminstallationTypeV7520roofcladdingsystemwillbeapplied.Thesteelcoilformetalcladdingwillbetransportedtojobsite.Thefabricationofmetalcorrugatedpanelwillbecarriedoutonjobsite.Thecorrugatingmachinewillbeinstalledinthelay-downareawestofaxis9of120#PolymerWarehouse.Detailfabricationplanwillbepreparedandsubmittedforreview&approvaloncetheoutstandingissuesaresolved.Beforeinstallationofpurlins,lifelineofeveryroofbeamshallbedulyfastenedandinspectedasperprocedurerequires.Thepurlinshallbeliftperbundletoitsproposedrooflocation,unwrapped,spread,2-end-boltedtoroofbeam.Tightrodforcertainlocationsshallbeinstalledandfastenedfollowingthepurlininstallation.Forinstallationofroofcladdingsystem,theprocessisexecutedandrepeatedrowbyrow,accordingtowidthofinsulationlayer/metalpanel/stainlesswiremesh,toandfromeaveorridge.5.8FireproofingPaintingFireproofingpaintingforsteelstructureshallbecarriedoutbyPMCapprovedsub-contractor;thissub-contractorshalloffermaterialsupplyandconstruction.Inorganicandsolvent-solublethin&expandingfireresistantpainting(GJ-B/JA60-2)shallbeusedinallsurfaceofsteelstructureincludingsteelcolumn,columnbracing,roofbeam,androof&wallpurlin.Thefireresistantratesforsteelmembersaredesignedas2mmthin/2-hourforcolumn&bracing,1.5mmthick/1.5-hourforroofbeam,0.5mm/0.5-hourforpurlin.Certaintrialexperimentsshallbecarriedoutbyfirepaintingsub-contractortoconfirmitsadequatestickiness,durabilityandsuitabilitytosubstratesurfacecoatingorgalvanizedsurface.AfterdetailinvestigationofMRandsitecondition,HSErequirementandworkefficiency,CCFGwouldproposetocarryoutpurlinfireproofingpaintingatoffsitepaintingshopanddeliverthepaintedpurlintosite.Fireproofingpaintingforcolumnandroofbeamshallbecarriedouteitheronthegroundbeforeinstallationoratoverheadaftersteelinstallation.However,nomatterwhichmethodwillbeapplied,HSEshallbethetopissuesandproperremedyshallbecarriedoutaftereveryinstallation.Whenunloadingofeverydelivery,steelmembershallbetransporttoitssupposedspanlocationonthegroundaspersteelmembergroundlay-outplan.Propersupportsshallbeadoptedtoliftatleast200mmabovegroundforeasypainting.Propersidesupportsshallalsobearrangedtoavoidpossiblecollapse.Propercoveringmateriallikeplasticmembraneshallbeusedtoavoidstainpollutionandrainwaterdamage.Thebrush-appliedpaintingmethodshallbeusedaftertrialpaintingdulyexecuted,andpaintingspecs/procedureconfirmed.5.9InstallationSurveyThecontrolpointsofelevation&axislinehavebeensetoutonthetopofconcretefootings.Properinspectionandacceptanceshallbeexecutedbythesurveygrouppriortoinstallation.5.9.1Columnvertical&elevationcontrolProjectsurveyplanshallbefollowedthroughoutthewholesurveyprocessofsteelinstallation.Thesurveyinstrumentsappliedaremaintainedingoodconditionaschecklistisdulyupdated.Surveyorsjointheteamarequalified,dulytrainedandinducted.Theplumbcontrolofcolumniscloselyrelatedtothatofthewholesteelframe.Theverticalcontrolofcolumnshallbeperformedpersinglecolumnspanafterspan.Theverticaladjustmentpersinglecolumnshallbeperformedinsteps.Referencelinesshallbemarkedin2directionsofcolumnsurfacebeforetheerection.Afterprimaryboltedandguyedin4directionsbyadjustabletiebolts,2levelsshallbeappliedtoadjusttheplumbing(vertical)precisionofcolumnbyobservingatdirectionsofrightanglesimultaneously.Thetopsurfacelevelofcolumnisquiteimportanttotheaccuracyofthewholesteelframe.Wheneverycolumnerectionstarts,thelevelofcolumnbaseplateshallbedulyadjusted&modifiedaccordingtoitsdesignleveltomeetdeviationlimits.5.9.2LocatingcontrolProjectsurveyplanshallbefollowedthroughoutthewholesurveyprocessofsteelinstallation.Axislineandcentrelineofcolumnbaseplateshallbedulysetoutonthetopsurfaceoffoundationconcretecolumnandpassedproperinspectionandacceptancepriortostartoferection,makingsureanchorboltsmatchthesecontrollinesasperstandardrequires,makingsurethecontrollinesontopsurfaceoffoundationcolumnmatchthesameonthebaseplateofsteelcolumninalldirections.Chapter6ConstructionQualityControl6.1GoverningStandardProjectstandard&proceduretogetherwith(GB50205-2001)ChineseCodeforAcceptanceofConstructionQualityofSteelStructure,(JGJ81-2002)Technicalspecificationforweldingofsteelstructureofbuildingisthegoverningcodeforthequalitycontrolofsteelstructureincludingsteelmaterial,fabrication,welding,bolting&fastening,assembly,painting,installation,claddingetc.6.2SitePerformanceThebestwaytoachieveagoodqualityoftheworksandassuretheCOMPANY,PMC,ourpartner,ourstaff,andourworkmanpowerisastrongcommitmenttoISO9001QualitySystem.Qualityconcernseveryone,andeveryoneshallbeinvolvedtoachieveProjectQualitySystem.Induceonoursubcontractorandsuppliersprojectrequirementsinordertogetfromthemthebestqualityforthevalueofcont
