Infact,whenGalileiprovedthattheEarthwasnotthecentreoftheuniverse,insteadof⑲believinghim,peoplechosetobelieveviewsthatwerealmost2,000yearsold![2][2]when引导时间状语从句;第一个that引导宾语从句,作proved的宾语;第二个that引导定语从句,修饰views。Itisnotsurprisingthatpeoplewantedtobelievetheseprimitiveideas⑳astheyhadbeenputforwardbythegreatphilosopherAristotle(384-322BCE).
