I.TeachingPhilosophy
Rootedinthe
pulsoryEducationEnglishCurriculumStandards(2022),thislessonadoptsastudentcentered,activitydrivenapproachthatintegrateslanguagelearningwithreallifeapplication.Bycontextualizinggrammarruleswithinthethemeof"hometown,"studentsactivelyconstructknowledgethroughdiscovery,collaboration,andcreativetasks.Emphasisisplacedoncorepetencies:languageproficiency,culturalawareness,criticalthinking,andautonomouslearning.
II.TextAnalysis
TheGrammarsectionofUnit3focusesontwokeyareas:
A.Usinga,an,the:Introducesarticlesincontext(e.g.,describingplaces,landmarks).
B.Prepositionsofplace:Coversspatialrelationships(e.g.,
near,between,behind)fordescribinglocations.
Connections:Bothtopicsalignwiththeunit’sthemeof"hometown,"enablingstudentstodescribetheirsurroundingsaccurately.Thegrammarpointsarepresentedthroughexamplesandsimplerules,encouraginginductivelearning.
