ThisIECstandardprovidesfortheglobalharmonizationofenergy-efficiencyclassesofelectricmotors.Itdealswithallkindsofelectricmotorsthatareratedforlineoperation(includingstartingatreducedvoltage).Thisincludesallsingle-andthree-phaselowvoltageinductionmotors,regardlessoftheirratedvoltageandfrequency,aswellasline-startpermanent-magnetmotors.
