英语阅读一(ReadingI)课程基本信息课程编号:15062175h课程总学时:24实验学时:学时课程性质:必修课程属性:基础类开设学期:第1学期适用专业:商务英语对先修的要求:坚实的语言基础,一定的文化背景知识,正确有效的阅读习惯对后续的支撑:通过上下文语境理解词意和句意,掌握主旨和大意及事实与细节。一、课程的教学理念、性质、目标和任务“阅读”是商务英语专业基础课程之一,是培养学生英语综合运用能力的重要组成部分,教学对象是商务英语专业一、二年级学生,总课时24学时。其教学内容呈百科知识性,涉及英语国家的社会、政治、经济、文化、宗教、环保等各个领域;文体也呈多样性,既有文学作品,又有记叙、说明、议论、新闻、广告等语言风格不同的各类文章。阅读是英语专业的一门技能课程,主要是培养学生的阅读理解能力,提高学生的人文、科学素养,同时兼顾听、说、写、译等各项技能的发展和语言综合运用能力的提高。本课程的教学内容包括阅读技巧、限时阅读、阅读理解和技巧应用、巩固词汇知识等方面。教学目的在于通过阅读课程的教学,培养学生的阅读兴趣,提高学生的阅读速度,培养学生细致观察语言的能力及假设判断、分析归纳、推理检验等逻辑思维能力;提高学生的阅读技能,包括细读、略读、查阅等能力,提高学生单词推断能力,扩大词汇量,通过向学生提供广泛的语言和文化素材,增强学生的英语语感,扩大学生的知识面,吸收语言和文化背景知识,提高学生的语言综合运用能力。二、课程教学的基本要求1.掌握各种阅读技巧,如:contextcluestowordmeaning,understandingsentences,distinguishingtopicfrommainidea等等。2.扩大词汇量。3.提高阅读速度。4.提高理解能力。三、课程的教学设计1.教学设计说明依据英语专业培养计划和方案,以教学大纲为纲要,树立以学生为中心的教学理念,彻底改变以教师为中心的一言堂的教学模式;尽可能地发挥学生的能动性、创造性,培养学生的自主性、独立性和合作精神。根据不同的教学内容,尝试采用灵活多样的教学方式,如启发式、讨论式、研究式、输出式等教学法,课堂上引导学生在积极主动的思维活动中获取知识、掌握学习方法。2.课程目标及对毕业要求的支撑序号课程目标毕业要求1扩大词汇量,有效提高阅读速度和阅读水平。(阅读内容由浅入深,阅读材料由短渐长,句子结构由简单到复杂)12掌握阅读技巧和方法。(细读、略读、查读、改述)23增加英语国家社会文化背景知识。(社会、文化、教育、经贸、历史、文学、艺术、政治、体育、环境保护、风土人情等)34发展思维,能对篇章进行分析和评价。(区别观点与事实、推理与判断、批判性阅读)4理论教学内容及学时分配(共24学时)共12周,每周2学时;完成12个单元的教学。绪论学时数:24英语阅读是商务英语专业基础阶段必修课之一,教学对象为商务英语专业一、二年级学生。英语阅读是学生掌握英语语言知识,打好语言基础,获取信息的重要渠道。本课程由四册构成,每册完成十二个单元的学习,并系统学习阅读技巧,每单元设有一个主题,每单元由SectionA,B,C组成。SectionA是课堂学习的重点,涉及训练学生阅读速度的专项练习,读前准备活动,TextI,阅读理解和词汇练习;SectionB是快速阅读,一般有四-五篇文章,要求学生在课堂十五分钟内完成。SectionC是TextII是涉及该主题的课文一篇,一般供学生课外完成。
