Butsuchgloominessismisplaced.Thefossilrecordshowsthatmanyspecieshaveenduredformillionsof
years-sowhyshouldn'twe?Takeabroaderlookatourspecies'placeintheuniverse,anditbecomesclearthatwe
haveanexcellentchanceofsurvivingfortens,ifnothundreds,ofthousandsofyears.LookupHomosapiensin

Buttakealongerviewandthereisasurprisingamountthatwecansaywithconsiderableassurance.Asso
