Unit3Languageinuse复习宾语从句与定语从句一、宾语从句1.结构Hetoldme

{thathewouldgotocollegesoon}.注意:宾语从句采用陈述语序。

2.引导词的选择

(1)当宾语从句由陈述句转化而来时,引导词用that,其中that可以省略。例Hesaid(that)hewasgoingtomeethispenpalinBeijing.他说他要去见他在北京的笔友。

(2)当宾语从句由特殊疑问句转换而来时,常用what、when、where、why、which、how等疑问词作为引导词。例Theywanttoknowhowoldyouare.他们想知道你多大年纪。

(3)当宾语从句由一般疑问句转换而来时,引导词用whether或if,意为“是否”。例Heaskedmeif/whetherIwouldliketoplaybasketballwithhim.他问我是否愿意和他一起打篮球。

注意:if和whether在宾语从句中的区别

①if

和whether意为“是否”时,引导宾语从句,常放在动词(短语)如know、ask、care、wonder、findout等之后,介词后不用if。②动词discuss后的宾语从句用whether引导。③whether后可以加ornot,但是if不可以。④在不定式前只能用whether。例如:Ican'tdecidewhethertostay.我不能决定是否留下。

3.时态

(1)主句是一般现在时或一般将来时,从句根据实际情况使用相应的时态。例TomtellsmethatJohnspeakshighlyofme.汤姆告诉我约翰对我评价很高。

(2)主句是一般过去时,从句通常用相应的过去时态。例Iaskedtheoldmanif/whetherhehadbeentoBeijing.我问这个老人他是否去过北京。

(3)从句表示的是客观事实、真理、自然现象,无论主句使用什么时态,从句都用一般现在时。例Theteachertoldthestudentsthattheearthmovesaroundthesun.老师告诉学生们地球绕着太阳转。4.宾语从句的否定转移

二、定语从句1.结构MrLiistheteacher

{that/who/whomwelikebest}.先行词引导词先行词在从句中充当的成分引导词物主语that/which宾语that/which/省略人主语that/who宾语that/who/whom/省略2.引导词的选择例Thosearethemoviesthat/whichhavebeenpopularinrecentyears.那些就是近几年十分流行的电影。

Thisisthepenthat/which/省略heboughtyesterday.这是他昨天买的那支钢笔。

Theboysthat/whoareplayingfootballarefromClassOne.正在踢足球的男孩们是一班的。

MrLiuisthepersonthat/who/whom/省略youtalkedwithonthebus.刘先生就是跟你在公共汽车上谈话的那个人。

3.引导词只能用that的情况

(1)当先行词是nothing,something,anything,all,each等不定代词时。例Doyouhaveanythingthatisimportanttotellme?

你有什么重要的事情要告诉我吗?

(2)当先行词被all,any,some,no,every,each等词修饰时。例Ihavesomebooksthatareverygood.我有一些很好的书。

(3)当先行词被形容词最高级、序数词(包括last,next等)所修饰时。例ThisisthefirstbookthatIboughtmyself.这是我自己买的第一本书。

(4)当先行词被thevery,thelast,thenext,theonly,thesame等词修饰时。例ThisistheverybookthatIlostyesterday.这就是我昨天丢的那本书。(5)当先行词既有人又有物时。例Iwon'tforgetthethingsandthepersonsthatIsaw.我不会忘记我看到的人和事。4.关系代词只能用which的情况关系代词前有介词时。例I'mlookingforaboxinwhichIcanputallthesecoins.我在找一个能把这些硬币都放进去的盒子。
