常见的这类形容词有：better,surprising,essential,natural,necessary,strange,important,regretful等。常见的这类过去分词有：decided,demanded,requested,desired,required,ordered,suggested等。常见的这类名词有：duty,pity,nosurprise,nowonder,regret,shame等。

如：Itwassuggestedthathe(should)jointheclubactivities.有人提议他应该参加俱乐部的活动。Itisimportantthateveryone(should)beabletospeakEnglish.重要的是每个人能说英语。Itisnecessary/essentialthathe(should)besenttohospitalatonce.有必要马上把他送医院。

虚拟语气除主要用于条件句外，还可用于主语从句、宾语从句和一些习惯用法中。

虚拟语气在主语从句中的用法1.虚拟语气在主语从句中的用法

虚拟语气主要用在结构为“itis＋形容词（过去分词，名词）＋that＋主语＋should＋动词原形”的主语从句中。主语从句中是否使用虚拟语气主要取决于句子中是否含有某些用来表示建议、命令、要求、惊异和失望等的形容词、过去分词和名词。

虚拟语气在宾语从句中的用法

（1）wish后的宾语从句常表示一个与现实情况相反的愿望，因此要用虚拟语气，其主要形式有三种：

如：IwishIknewtheanswertothequestion.我希望我知道这个问题的答案。WewishyouhadcometoourNewYear’sparty.我们多希望你来参加我们的新年聚会。IwishIcoulddosomethingforyouinreturn.我希望我能做点什么回报你。假设类型谓语动词表示与现在的情况相反wish＋主语＋动词过去式（be用were）表示与过去的情况相反wish＋主语＋had＋过去分词表示某种不太可能实现的愿望wish＋主语＋would＋动词原形

虚拟语气在宾语从句中的用法（2）在表示建议、命令、要求等动词后的宾语从句中要用虚拟语气。

此类动词有：suggest,advise,demand,require,insist,order,prefer,ask,request等。如：Isuggestthatwe(should)startthemeetingatonce.我建议马上开会。
