CognitiveObjective:Enablestudentstomaster30+EnglishvocabularyrelatedtoThePalaceMuseum(e.g.,"meridiangate","hallofsupremeharmony","imperialgarden")andunderstandthebasichistory,architecturalfeatures,andculturalconnotationsofkeyscenicspotsinThePalaceMuseum.

LanguageObjective:Improvestudents'Englishlisteningandspeakingabilities,allowingthemtodescribethesceneryofThePalaceMuseuminsimpleEnglish,conductshortdialogueswithpartnersorguides,andcompleteEnglishstudytasks.

CulturalObjective:Enhancestudents'awarenessandrecognitionoftraditionalChineseculture,andcultivatetheirabilitytospreadChinesecultureinEnglish.

二、Pre-ActivityPreparation

1.TeachingMaterialsandTools

DevelopanEnglishstudymanualforThePalaceMuseum,includingscenicspotintroductionsinsimpleEnglish,vocabularylists,andtaskworksheets(e.g.,"ScenicSpotScavengerHunt","CulturalStoryRecording").

Prepareportablemicrophones(forguidestoensurestudentscanhearclearly),English-Chinesebilingualsignboards(tomarkgatheringpoints),andsmallgifts(e.g.,bookmarkswithPalaceMuseumpatterns,Englishpostcards)forrewardingstudentswithexcellentperformance.

StudentsgatherattheMeridianGate(themainentranceofThePalaceMuseum)ontime.TheguideandvolunteerscheckthenumberofstudentsanddistributetheEnglishstudymanualandtaskworksheets.

Conducta15-minuteEnglishwarm-upactivity:"NameandVocabularyGame".Theguiderandomlycallsthestudents'Englishnames,andthecalledstudentsneedtosayanEnglishvocabularyrelatedtoThePalaceMuseumtheyhavepre-learned.Thosewhoanswercorrectlywillgetasmallstickerasareward.ThisactivityhelpsstudentsquicklyentertheEnglishlearningstateandreviewpre-learnedknowledge.

2.GuidedTourandEnglishLearning(9:30-12:00)
