paper

cutting,

with

a

history

of

2,

000

years,

can

be

dated

back

to

the

Sui

Dynasty,

making

Yangzhou

one

of

the

places

where

paper

cutting

first

became

popular.

In

the

Sui

Dynasty,

the

people

of

Yangzhou

would

cut

colourful

paper

or

silk

and

satin

(缎子)

to

celebrate

festivals.

It

is

said

that

Emperor

Yang

came

to

Yangzhou

three

times.

In

winter,

the

flowers

and

trees

in

the

garden

became

dry

and

weak.

The

emperor

ordered

the

girl

servants

to

cut

fine

silk

and

satin

into

flowers

and

leaves

and

use

them

to

decorate

the

trees

and

lakes,

copying

nicely

the

looks

of

spring

and

summer.

Since

then,

"colorful

cutting"

has

become

a

popular

art

in

Yangzhou.

In

the

Tang

Dynasty,

the

paper

cutting

industry

was

highly

developed

and

a

large

amount

of

high-quality

paper

was

made

as

presents

to

the

Court

(宫廷).

In

the

Qing

Dynasty,

because

of

the

economic

development,

the

people

of

Yangzhou

became

interested

in

wearing

fine

clothing,

especially

embroidered(刺绣的)clothing.

The

embroidered

designs

were

based

on

paper-cuts,

the

most

well-known

of

them

was

from

Bao

Jun,

a

paper

cutting

master.

He

won

a

high

reputation(名声)as

Magic

Scissors

for

his

wonderful

cutting

skill.

After

the

People's

Republic

of

China

was

started,

the

Chinese

government

accepted

the

importance

of

paper

cutting

like

many

other

arts

and

skills.

In

2007,

China

Paper-cuts

Museum

opened

to

the

public

in

the

back

garden

of

the

Wang's

Residence(

Yangzhou,

greatly

D.ThehistoryanddevelopmentofYangzhoupapercutting.DImagine

you

are

walking

in

the

sand

on

a

beach.

As

you

walk,

you

leave

footprints(足迹),

Later,

the

footprints

disappear.

But

imagine

if

your

footprints

stayed

there

forever.

And

imagine,

too,

that

you

left

footprints

everywhere

you

walked

so

that

someone

could

know

wherever

you've

been.

I

think

that's

what

happens

when

you

use

computers

and

mobile

phones.

When

you

go

online,

you

leave

your

digital(数字的)

footprint,

and

it

can

be

tracked(追踪)

in

a

database(数据库).

And

there

are

some

reasons

why

your

digital

footprint

matters

to

you.

There

is

someone

who

is

interested

in

what

you

write

on

Twitter

or

post

on

Instagram.

For

example,

companies

who

sell

things

are

interested

because

they

want

to

send

you

ads

for

things

they

want

you

to

buy.

What

you

write

online

influences

how

people

see

you.

Perhaps

one

day

you

write

something

silly

online.

Maybe

you

make

a

bad

joke.

Years

later,

it's

found

by

the

company

you're

applying

to,

and

they

don't

think

it's

funny.

Then

what?Maybe

they

decide

you're

not

the

right

kind

of

person

for

them.

You

should

keep

your

money

safe.

There

are

plenty

of

people

looking

at

information

about

you,

and

some

of

them

want

to

steal

from

you.

The

less

information

you

put

out,

the

harder

it

is

for

them.

Bank

details,

card

numbers,

passwords(密码)….

None

of

them

should

be

written

in

emails,

text

messages

or

anything

else.

In

a

word,

remember

that

you

have

a

digital

footprint,

and

think

carefully

before

you

click"send"or

"post".

No

one

can

go

online

and

not

leave

a

footprint,

but

with

care,

you

can

control

it.46.How

did

the

writer

start

the

passage?

______A.By

telling

a

story. B.By

listing

a

number.

C.By

asking

a

question. D.By

giving

an

example.47.What

does

the

underlined

word

"it"

refer

to

in

Paragraph

1?

______A.Your

digital

computer.

C.Your

mobile

phone. D.Your

of

the

following

is

TRUE

according

to

the

text?

______A.Your

B.Everybody

is

interested

in

what

others

post

on

C.What

you

may

be

others

years

later.

D.It

the

of
