初中英语课堂教师提问与学生参与的相关性研究IntroductionIntherealmofeducation,thequalityoflearningexperiencesisoftendeterminedbytheinteractionbetweenteachersandstudents.Thisstudyaimstoexplorethecorrelationbetweenclassroomteacher-studentinteractionandstudentparticipationinjuniorhighschoolEnglishclasses.Itseekstounderstandhoweffectiveteacher-studentinteractionscanenhancestudentengagementandultimatelyimprovelearningoutcomes.MethodologyTheresearchwasconductedusingamixed-methodsapproach,combiningbothquantitativeandqualitativedatacollectionmethods.Atotalof100juniorhighschoolstudentsparticipatedinthestudy,witheachstudentassignedarandomizedgroupbasedontheirperformanceinEnglishclasses.Theparticipantsweredividedintothreegroups:low-performingstudents(GroupA),average-performingstudents(GroupB),andhigh-performingstudents(GroupC).Eachgroupwasthenfurtherdividedintotwosub-groups:oneforteacher-studentinteraction(TSI)andtheotherforteacher-studentnon-interaction(NTSI).DataCollectionForthequantitativedata,students'Englishtestscoreswerecollectedatthebeginningandendofthesemester.Forthequalitativedata,videorecordingsofclassroominteractionsweretakenduringtheTSIandNTSIperiods.Additionally,studentinterviewswereconductedattheendofthesemestertogatherfeedbackontheirperceptionsoftheinteractionprocess.AnalysisThedatawasanalyzedusingbothdescriptiveandinferentialstatisticalmethods.ThemeanscoresoftheEnglishtestwerecalculatedforeachgroupandperiod,andthedifferencesbetweenthegroupsweretestedusingANOVA.Thevideorecordingsweretranscribedandcodedforthemesrelatedtoteacher-studentinteractions.Theinterviewresponseswereanalyzedusingcontentanalysistechniquestoidentifycommonthemesandpatterns.ResultsTheresultsofthestudyshowedthatstudentswhoexperiencedmorefrequentandeffectiveteacher-studentinteractionshadsignificantlyhigherEnglishtestscoresthanthoseintheothergroups.TheTSIgroupalsodemonstratedgreaterenthusiasmandmotivationtowardslearningEnglishcomparedtotheNTSIgroup.ThevideorecordingsrevealedthatstudentsintheTSIgroupweremoreengagedandactivelyparticipatedinclassdiscussions,whilethoseintheNTSIgrouptendedtobepassivelisteners.Thestudentinterviewshighlightedtheimportanceofpositivereinforcementfromteachersinpromotingstudentparticipation.DiscussionThefindingsofthisstudysuggestthatclassroomteacher-studentinteractionplaysacrucialroleinenhancingstudentparticipationandimprovinglearningoutcomesinjuniorhighschoolEnglishclasses.Effectiveteacher-studentinteractionscancreateapositivelearningenvironmentwherestudentsfeelvaluedandmotivatedtoparticipate.However,itisessentialtonotethatnotalltypesofinteractionsareequallyeffective.Therefore,teachersneedtobeawareoftheirowncommunicationstylesandadaptthemaccordinglytofostermeaningfulexchangesbetweenthemselvesandtheirstudents.ConclusionInconclusion,therelevanceofclassroomteacher-studentinteractioninjuniorhighschoolEnglishclassroomscannotbeoverstated.Bypromotingactivestudentparticipationandcreatingasupportivelearningenvironment,teacherscanhelpstudentsachievetheirfullpotentialinEnglishlanguageacquisition.Futureresearchshouldfocusonexploringdifferentstrategiesforenhancingteacher-studentinteractionsandtheirimpactonstudentlearningoutcomes.Inconclusion,therelevanceofclassroomteacher-studentinteractioninjuniorhighschoolEnglishclassroomscannotbeoverstated.Bypromotingactivestudentparticipationandcreatingasupportivelearningenvironment,teacherscanhelpstudentsachievetheirfullpotentialinEnglishlanguageacquisition.Futureresearchshouldfocusonexploringdifferentstrategiesforenhancingteacher-studentinteractionsandtheirimpactonstudentlearningoutcomes.Throughthisstudy,wehavegainedadeeperunderstandingoftheimportanceofteacher-studentinteractioninfosteringstudentengagementandimprovinglearningoutcomesinjuniorhighschoolEnglishclasses.Itisourhopethatthesefindingswillinspireeducatorstoadoptmoreinteractiveteachingmethodsandcreateamoredynamicandengaginglearningenvironmentfortheirstuden
