arecollaboratingoninitiativesthatembedverifiableidentity,cryptographyandnetwork-levelintelligence

directlyintotelecomsinfrastructure.Interoperabilityis

fundamentaltothiswork:antifraudmechanismssuch

asOpenVerifiableCallingmust

operate

seamlesslyacrossnetworksiftheyaretobeeffective.Interoperabilityisequallyessentialaswe

move

intothenextphaseof

networkevolution.

Thecapabilitiesunlockedby5GAdvanced,andthe

integrationofnon-terrestrialnetworkswithexistingcellularinfrastructure,willonlydelivertheirfullvalueiftheyfunctionaspartofacoherent

globalsystem.

TheFoundry’sworkinthisareais

helpingensurethatconnectivityremainsreliableandcontinuous,whereverusersare.Beyondconnectivity,theFoundry’sstrategicpartnershipsareenablingGSMAmembersto

connectsoperators,innovators,academia,

industryandinvestors.Bybringinggreatmindstogether,theFoundryturnspromisingideasintoscalabledeployments

withreal-worldimpactacrosstelecomsand

thebroadereconomy.In2025,wedecisivelyshifted

pilotsinto

production,

scalingprovensolutionsacrossnetworks,

marketsandregions.Wedemonstratedhow

next-generation

connectivity–enabledby5GAdvanced

-

isunderpinninganotherwaveofinnovationin

physical

AI,robotics,experiencemonetisation,

non-terrestrial

networks

(NTNs)andotherexcitingfields.Through

theNTNCommunity,the

Foundryisacceleratingtheconvergenceofterrestrialnetworksand

NTNs,

positioningsatelliteandaerialplatformsas

corecomponentsoffuturemobileinfrastructure.Closertoearth,increasinglysophisticatedprivate5Gnetworksareenablingorganisationstotailorconnectivitypreciselytotheirrequirements.Through

ournewPrivate

NetworksCommunity,

weare

creating

clarityformobileoperatorsandenterprisesaroundarchitectures,commercialmodels,anddeployment

pathways.Weare,ofcourse,also

heavily

involved

inthedevelopmentofartificialintelligence

(AI),whichisprovingtobeoneofthemostdisruptivetechnologiesofourtime.TheFoundry’s

multipleAI

programmeshavemovedbeyondtheorytodelivery,enablingsovereignAImodels,production-gradedeploymentsof

generativeAI,andtherolloutofoperationalAIacrossliveoperatorenvironments.Meanwhile,theFoundryis

helpingtheGSMAtocoordinateaglobalresponsetofraudandscamsacrosstheecosystem.Ourprojectdemosat

deepenthesepartnerships,expandfundingpathways,andlaunchnewchallengesacrossAI,NTN,quantumtechnologies,

andconnectedindustries.Anotherpriorityforthisyearisthedevelopmentofagloballabnetworktocreatea

unified,telecom-focused
