高中英语教材跨学科内容对比分析研究——以人教版和北师大版教材为例IntroductionInthecurrenteraofglobalization,educationhasbecomeincreasinglyinterdisciplinary.Theintegrationofknowledgefromdifferentfieldsisnotonlybeneficialforstudents'comprehensivedevelopmentbutalsoenhancestheirabilitytosolvereal-worldproblems.Asacrucialpartoftheeducationalsystem,highschoolEnglishtextbooksplayasignificantroleinpromotinginterdisciplinarylearning.Thisstudyaimstocompareandanalyzethecross-disciplinarycontentinPeople'sEducationPress(PEP)andBeijingNormalUniversityeditions(BNU)ofhighschoolEnglishtextbooks.MethodologyTheresearchmethodologymainlyincludesliteraturereview,comparativeanalysis,andcasestudy.Firstly,relevantliteratureoninterdisciplinaryeducationandtextbookdesignwascollectedandanalyzed.Secondly,thetextbookswereselectedbasedontheirpopularityandinfluenceinChina.Thirdly,thecross-disciplinarycontentinthetwotextbookswasextractedandcompared.Finally,theresultswereanalyzedanddiscussed.ResultsThePEPandBNUhighschoolEnglishtextbookshavesimilaroverallstructure,withanemphasisongrammar,vocabulary,readingcomprehension,writing,listening,andspeakingskills.However,therearesomedifferencesinthearrangementofcontentandteachingmethodsbetweenthetwotextbooks.Firstly,thePEPtextbookemphasizestheimportanceoflanguageapplicationindailylife,whiletheBNUtextbookfocusesmoreontheoreticalknowledgeandacademicdiscourse.Forexample,inthePEPtextbook,therearemanyactivitiesthatrequirestudentstouseEnglishtocommunicatewithothers,suchasgroupdiscussionsandpresentations.Incontrast,theBNUtextbookcontainsmorereadingpassagesandexercisesrelatedtoacademictopics,suchasscienceandtechnology.Secondly,thePEPtextbookadoptsamoreinteractiveteachingapproach,incorporatingmultimediaresourcesandonlineplatformstoenhancestudents'learningexperience.Forinstance,therearemanyvideosandanimationsinthePEPtextbookthathelpstudentsunderstanddifficultgrammarpointsandimprovetheirpronunciation.Incontrast,theBNUtextbookusesmoretraditionalteachingmethods,suchasteacher-ledexplanationsandstudent-centereddiscussions.Thirdly,thePEPtextbookpaysmoreattentiontoculturalexchangeandinternationalperspectives,introducingvariousforeignculturesandcustomsthroughtextsandactivities.Forexample,therearemanyarticlesaboutforeigncountriesandtheircustomsinthePEPtextbook,whichhelpsstudentsexpandtheirhorizonsandimprovetheircross-culturalcommunicationskills.Incontrast,theBNUtextbookfocusesmoreonChinesecultureandhistory,withfewerreferencestoforeigncultures.ConclusionThecomparisonandanalysisofthecross-disciplinarycontentinthePEPandBNUhighschoolEnglishtextbooksindicatethatbothtextbookshavetheirstrengthsandweaknessesintermsofteachingmethodsandcontentarrangement.ThePEPtextbookemphasizespracticalapplicationandculturalexchange,whiletheBNUtextbookfocusesmoreontheoreticalknowledgeandacademicdiscourse.Therefore,itisnecessarytocombinetheadvantagesofbothtextbookstocreateamorecomprehensiveandeffectiveteachingenvironmentforhighschoolEnglishlearners.Inconclusion,thestudyprovidesvaluableinsightsintothedesignandimplementationofhighschoolEnglishtextbooksinChina.Ithighlightstheimportanceofinterdisciplinarycontentinpromotingstudents'holisticdevelopmentandenhancingtheirabilitytosolvereal-worldproblems.Byanalyzingthecross-disciplinarycontentinPEPandBNUeditions,thisresearchcontributestotheongoingdebateonhowtobetterintegratelanguagelearningwithothersubjects,suchasscience,technology,andsocialstudies.Furthermore,thefindingssuggestthateducatorsshouldconsidertheuniquestrengthsandweaknessesofeachtextbookwhendesigningcurricula.Thisincludesbalancingpracticalapplicationwiththeoreticalknowledge,culturalexchangewithacademicdiscourse,andincorporatingmultimediaresourcestoenhancestudentengagement.Finally,thestudyencouragespolicymakersandeducatorstoexploreinnovativeapproachestoteachingEnglishinChina,suchasintegratingtechnologyandusingavarietyofteachingmethodst
