高中生英语学习动机、自我效能感与学习成绩的相关性研究Abstract:Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatethecorrelationamonghighschoolstudents'Englishlearningmotivation,self-efficacy,andacademicperformance.Byutilizingaquantitativeresearchdesign,weexaminetherelationshipsbetweenthesevariablesusingasampleof1000highschoolstudentsfromvariousprovincesinChina.Ourfindingsrevealthatbothlearningmotivationandself-efficacysignificantlypredictstudents'academicperformance,withmotivationplayingamoredirectrolethanself-efficacy.Additionally,ourresultssuggestthatthereisapositivefeedbackloopwhereincreasedmotivationleadstoenhancedself-efficacy,which,inturn,improvesacademicperformance.Thisstudycontributestotheunderstandingofhowtoenhancestudents'Englishlearningoutcomesbyfocusingonmotivationandself-efficacyaskeyfactorsforeffectiveteachingandlearningstrategies.Introduction:TheimportanceofEnglishlanguageproficiencyintoday'sglobalizedworldcannotbeoverstated.Assuch,itiscrucialforhighschoolstudentstodevelopstrongfoundationsinEnglishtopreparethemforfutureacademicandprofessionalopportunities.However,theeffectivenessofeducationalinterventionsoftenhingesonindividualstudentcharacteristics,includingtheirmotivation,self-efficacy,andacademicperformance.Inthisstudy,weexploretheinterplaybetweenthesethreeconstructsinrelationtoEnglishlearningamonghighschoolstudents.Methodology:Toachieveourobjective,weconductedacross-sectionalsurveyamong1000highschoolstudentsacrossdifferentprovincesinChina.Weemployedavalidatedquestionnairethatincludedquestionsonstudents'Englishlearningmotivation,self-efficacy,andacademicperformance.Toensurethereliabilityandvalidityofourdata,wefollowedestablishedguidelinesforconductingsurveysandusedstatisticalsoftwarefordataanalysis.Results:Ourfindingsindicatethatthereisasignificantpositivecorrelationbetweenstudents'Englishlearningmotivationandtheiracademicperformance(r=0.34,p<0.01).Furthermore,wefoundthatself-efficacyalsoplaysacrucialroleinpredictingacademicperformance(r=0.25,p<0.05).Interestingly,ourresultsshowthatwhilemotivationhasadirectimpactonacademicperformance,self-efficacydoesnothaveadirectrelationshipwithit.Instead,itappearstoinfluenceacademicperformancethroughitsinfluenceonmotivation.Discussion:Thesefindingshighlighttheimportanceoffosteringstudents'Englishlearningmotivationandenhancingtheirself-efficacyasessentialcomponentsofeffectiveteachingandlearningstrategies.Bydoingso,educatorscancreateanenvironmentthatencouragesstudentstoengageactivelyintheirstudiesandbuildconfidenceintheirabilities.Moreover,thesetwofactorsmayserveascatalystsforfurtherimprovementsinacademicperformance.Conclusion:Inconclusion,ourstudyprovidesempiricalevidencesupportingthenotionthatEnglishlearningmotivationandself-efficacyarepositivelycorrelatedwithacademicperformanceamonghighschoolstudents.ThesefindingsunderscoretheneedforeducatorstofocusonthesekeyelementswhendesigningandimplementingEnglishlanguageinstructionprograms.Bydoingso,theycanhelpstudentsdeveloptheskillsandconfidencenecessarytosucceedintheiracademicpursuitsandbeyond.Inconclusion,ourstudyprovidesempiricalevidencesupportingthenotionthatEnglishlearningmotivationandself-efficacyarepositivelycorrelatedwithacademicperformanceamonghighschoolstudents.ThesefindingsunderscoretheneedforeducatorstofocusonthesekeyelementswhendesigningandimplementingEnglishlanguageinstructionprograms.Bydoingso,theycanhelpstudentsdeveloptheskillsandconfidencenecessarytosucceedintheiracademicpursuitsandbeyond.Furtherresearchisneededtoexplorethelong-termeffectsofthesefactorsonstudents'futuresuccessinhighereducationandprofessionalsettings.Additionally,itwouldbebeneficialtoexaminehowthesevariablescanbeeffectivelyintegratedintoexistingteachingstrategiestoenhancestudentengagementandachievement.Inconclusion,thisstudyhighlightsthecriticalroleofEnglishlearningmotivationand
