2、e word?Its 1,025 meters deep.The worlds deepest salt lake is the Caspian.Difficulties: 几个外国地名的读法及写法Step 1 PresentationShow a picture of Amazon and ask “Do you know the river? Whats its name? How long is it? Can you tell me something about? ”Help the students to answer: Its the longest river in the w
3、orld .its name is Amazon. Its about 6,500 Kilometers long .Teach the new word “Amazon” In the same way, introduce these places “Qomolangma, the samara , the Caspian sea ”利用图片教授知识,便于让学生理解接受, 降低了知识的难度, 激发培养了学生学习英语的兴趣.Step 2 Work on 1cAsk the students to make a conversation using in the information in
4、the chart in activity 1a.在学生初步掌握了新授知识的基础上, 两人一组进行对话练习, 巩固所学知识.Step 3 Make a surveyAsk the students to fill in the table with the help of the geography book .让学生查阅世界地理,填写世界之最,将英语课堂融合于地理知识. Step 4 Work on 1b Show a Chinese map and an American map and say: This is a map of china .China is one of the ol

Teach the new word “Civilization”In the same way to teach these new word “bamboo, southeast, and man made”.利用图画授单词,加强学生感性认识, 为下一步听力做好准备.Play the tape and ask the students to listen and check the facts they hear, and then read after t

Its a cheetah .It can run as fast as the car. Teach the new words “Per”. In the same way to introduce some information in 2a. Then ask the

Explain some sentences like this: The length of the Yangze River is 6,300 kilometers long.=The Yangze River is 6,300 kilomete
10、rs long.展示同一个句子两种表达法, 开阔学生的思路。Step 3: work on 2dGet the ss to make conversations, using the information in activities 2a and 2c.巩固深化学生所学知识 ,训练学生口语表达能力.Step 4: work on 3a, 3bRead the article quickly and answer T (True) or F (False) on the slide.Read the article again and answer five questions accordi
11、ng to the text. Then Read the article more slowly and complete the chart. Get Ss discuss some difficult phrases and sentences in groups, Then the teacher show them on the slide.快速阅读, 初步整体感知;进一步阅读深化,全面理解课文;阅读后让学生分组讨论难点,在老师的帮助下,跳一跳 摘桃子.Step 5: Retell the articleThe Ss look at the chart on the slide an

PresentationUsing the pictures on the slide to teach the Ss something about animals.教授人体动物的一些特征,为下面讲授比较级做铺垫.Step 2: Presentation Using a man picture, a panda picture and a cheetah picture to teach these sentences:1.A man is ten kilos
14、 stronger than a cheetah.2.A panda is 2 times as strong as a cheetah.通过图片的场景教授新句型,加深对这三个句子的理解运用.Step 3: work on 2a, 2bPlay the tape for the first time, let SS only listen. Then play the tape again, this time Ss complete the sentences.先听不做,让学生培养起良好的听的习惯,有助于培养他们的注意力.Step 4: work on 2c.Compare facts ab
15、out animals according to the table on the slide. Then ask the Ss to practice the dialogue in pairs.看着教师设计的表格,两人一组进行问答,降低了知识点难度.Period Four (3a, 3b, 4 , self check)Teaching aims:1.巩固本单元所学的单词及句型. 2.掌握本节课所学课文中的重点短语及句法.Language Point:1.词汇: prevent, typhoon, cause ,from bad to worse, disaster.2.句型:Soldie

Step 1 presentation: Show some pictures about the flood, the typhoon and the tsunami then ask the Ss to talk about them with the teachers help.由图片引发讨论,为学习课文先热身.Step 2: practiceHave the Ss read the article quickly do T Or F, then read the article again answer some questions.对课文先整体感知再精读,便于学生掌握课文内容.Step 3: Practice Using the pictures about the article to explain the article step by step. Then ask the Ss to retell the story in their
