Analysis of the methods I adopt how to review this subject,Part1 The demands and tendencies of this subject,Definition of cloze test: The cloze test is the most difficult and the most demanding part in the whole papers, the passage chosen to test us covers some 350 words, usually

3、no title. It is often an original short story and there is no blank in the first sentence.,Goals: It mainly tests Ss basic knowledge of English, especially on the meaning of the vacabulary and the whole comprehension of the context, including some common sense and background, some logical analysis.,

4、Characteristics: An original short narrative story 2. The first sentence is complete 3. A surprising or instructive ending 4. 5、 the analysis above, we can draw a conclusion: The tendencies of the cloze tests this year may be an original short narrative article. it may be a little more difficult than last year. It mainly tests on verbs and their expressions; nouns; adjectives and adverbs. whats more, there are many clues in

We should take the whole passage into account.,.,Part 2 The conditions of the students in this subject,According to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus (新课程标准和教学大纲), our students should master some 3,600 words and expressions. But our school is a country senior school though it

7、 is a key one. The majority of our students are from poor countryside, they had no access to good English education in junior school, half of them even have poor listening, pronunciation, or lack of sentences concept and some necessary common sense, let it alone their sense of the English language,

8、they have limited vocabulary in their minds. It has a bad effect on our English teaching, we sometimes cant provide an effective teaching without considering their basis. If we want to improve their ability to do the cloze tests, wed better teach them how to analyse the whole content, give some skil

9、ls to them,including some common sense and backgrounds, logical analysis.,Part 3 The methods I adopt how to review this subject,1 Periods design Based on the requirement of the syllabus and the conditions of our students in this subject, I design to go over this subject in ten periods. Period1: Anal

10、ysing the demands and tendencies of the cloze test in the enterance examination and their main characteristics Period2: Analysing some examples of the test, give students some answering skills Period35: Practice in a limited time (15 minutes per one) Period 6: Summing up their experience and giving

11、some advice. Period 78: Applying the skills and experience to the practice . Period 910: Asking Ss to read and appreciate some real cloze tests in recent years .,2 Teaching Methods,As is known to us all, a good teaching method can help Ss develop a good sense of the English language. To achieve my t

12、eaching aims, I will use the following methods according to the modern social communication teaching theories(现代社会交际教学理论) . 1. Whole Language Teaching(整体语言教学法) 2. Task-based Language Teaching (任务教学法) 3. Total Situational Action (情景教学) 4. CAI (电脑辅助教学). It can provide a more content and real situation
