She is one of the most important cats in the musical .,Synopsis,Act I When Cats are Maddened by the Midnight Dance Its the night of the Jellicle(杰利科 )Ball.The Cats gather on stage and explain thei

6、r Jellicle tribe and purpose . Also they explain how the different Cats of the Jellicle tribe are named . Munkustrap appears and introduces Jennydots(珍妮点点). She sits all day and rules the mice and cockroaches(蟑螂）at night.,After she finishes, the music instantly changes.The Rum Tum Tugger makes an ex

7、travagant entrance. He is very wild and handsome.All kittens like surrounding him.Then a shabby（肮脏）old grey cat appears and looks around. It is Grizabella. All the cats back away. She leaves and the music changes to a cheerful upbeat. Bustopher Jones（巴斯托佛琼斯）, a fat cat, appears .He is gentleman .,Su

8、ddenly the cats run off the stage. Its Mungojerrie（盟哥杰利） andRumpelteazer（罗普兰蒂瑟 ）They are very mischievous and enjoy causing trouble for human families .Finally, Old Deuteronomy(老戒律伯)shows up . He is a large old Cat who will choose which Jellicle cat will go to the Heavy Side Layer(云外之路) .,Then the c

9、ats perform a song for Old Deuteronomy. After the Jellicle Ball, Grizabella reappears, refusing to be left out of the festivities. Once again, she is shunned(故意躲开） by the other cats, but that does not stop her from singing a short version of Memory.,Act II Why Will the Summer Day Delay？When Will Tim

10、e Flow Away? Cats are back to the stage. Old Deuteronomy sings of “what happiness is”, referring Grizabella. Then Gus appears. He is the cat that once was a famous actor but now he is old . He tells the story about his young .Back in the present.,With a third crash and an evil laugh, Macavity（麦卡维弟）

11、shows up and catches Old Deuteronomy. As the other cats try to follow him ,two cats sing what they know about Macavity. The ladies cat suggests that the cats find Mr. Mistoffelees（密斯托弗里先生）.,Mr. Mistoffelees is black and small and can perform many feats of magic that no other cat can do. The magical

12、cat succeeds in bringing back their command. He is praised by all the cats. Now the Jellicle choice can be made.,Old Deuteronomy sits down and Grizabella appears for the final time. He allows her to have a chance to address the cats.She sings of “Memory”.Every cats forgive her,and she is chosen to t
