The readers different focus on these conflicts may lead to different interpretations. On the whole, it tells what it is like to live in the American South between the 1860s and the 1

9、930s when the South had to digest the loss of the war and cope with its legacy in a changing society.,The Characters of Amily,Born into an aristocratic family of the South, Miss Emily was proud, self-important and obstinate（倔强的） like other Griersons.
