5、is matched with the pride of Darcy, she is the secondeldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs.Bennet.,Jane is simple, innocent and never speaks evil of others. Mary likes reading classic books. Kitty doesnt have her own opinion but likes to follow her sister, Lydia. Lydia is a girl who follows foreign things,

6、 handsome man, and is somehow a little profligate.,Mr. Bingley, A rich young bachelor. Darcys friend, he loves Jane who is the first daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bennet.,Mr. Bennet and Mrs. Bennet.,Summary,Mrs. Bennet had no other wish if her five daughters could get married as soon as possible with som

7、eone wealthy. At a ball, luckly, Bingley and Jane fell in love at the first sight. Darcy was attracted to Elizabeth.,But Darcy greatly disgusted her by his proud behavior and this dislike was increased by Wickham, a fashionable young militia officer of the unjust treatments he had met with at Darcys

8、 hands. Besides, Mrs. Bennet was so excited that she could not hold her manner and declared publicly she would have a daughter married soon.,In addition, Mr. Collins, a distance nephew of Mr. Bennet, came to ask a marriage to one of his cousins before Mrs. Bennet was able to get clear why Mr. Bingle

9、y left suddenly.,After receiving the hint from Mrs. Bennet that Jane already had an admirer, Mr. Collins turned to Elizabeth without wasting a minute and to Miss Charlotte Lucas two days later after refused by Elizabeth.,It was difficult for Mrs. Bennet to recover herself as a result of the “deadly

10、stupid” decision made by Elizabeth until she got the news that Lydia finally married Mr. Wickham, though the marriage was built on the basis of ten thousand pounds.,One day Darcy sent Elizabeth a letter, in which he justified the separation of his friend Bingley and Jane and made it clear that what

11、Wickham was. So Elizabeth changed her opinions and ideas toward him.,Once when Elizabeth met Darcy there and witnessed his changes through series of behaviors, no longer pride and became gentle and polite, all these made their marriage arranged, and they also suitably provided for Bingley and Janes

12、reunited and engaged. The story ends with both their happy marriages.,As far as I concerned, this novel reflects the English human sensation of the end of 18th century and the early of 19th century under the circumstance of conservative,it also reveals the authors attitude towards marriage, that is

13、love and marriage based on money, property and social status is not perfect, but it is also stupid without considering all of these. Besides, the author emphasizes the importance of ideal marriage which is only full of love and looks very beautiful and romantic.,My opinion,The author takes the love

14、as the foundation of ideal marriage between male and female. Elizabeth as the leading character in this novel was loved by Darcy. Darcy wanted to marriage to her in spite of difference in the possession of property and social status, but was refused by Elizabeth for his pride. The novel proves that

15、if the pride of Darcys existed, there will be no love and happy marriage between Elizabeth and he, its really nice that Elizabeth see the changes of Darcys through series of behavior in the following days.,On the other hand, In this article, the writer describes several unperfect marriages of Elizabeths sisters and close friends, aims at making an example contrast with Elizabethshappy marriage and reveals that marriage without love but base on social status and property actually is a kind of public tr
