She was
2、the first deaf blind person to graduate from college. Born intelligent, she became deaf and blind after a fever at two and a half years old ., Born in Alabama - June 27nd ,1880 Deaf and blind - January 1882 Meet Anne Sullivan - March 1887 Enter Harvard -June 1899 Write a book called My Life - 190219

6、elp the disabled,When she was old,She struggled to help others and persuaded people to accept and help the disabled .,Studying,Being blind and deaf ,Helen had great curiosity for studying .She had extreme difficulty in pronunciation , listening and speaking . So Anne taught her to touch the lips fee
7、ling the change ,and to feel the difference of breathing and exhale by nasal cavity .She got over the unbearable difficulty breaking down his physical disabilities. She studied well ,went to excellent university ,travel to other places, read books ,wrote her own books ,kept studying until her Death.

She went everywhere to campaign for the disabled ,made speeches to them and encouraged them to believe themselves . Also ,she told them to find their personal values and determined to live a better life . Her kindness
11、 not only helped the disabled to pick up courage but also aroused people from other countries to face up to the handicapped . As a result , service agencies have been set up ,the welfare of the handicapped has been improved , which are auxiliary to their happy life .,Such stories set us thinking, wo
12、ndering what we should do under similar circumstances. Most of us, however, take life f
13、or granted. We know that one day we must die, but usually we picture that day as far in the future. When we are in buoyant health, death is all but unimaginable. We seldom think of it. The days stretch out in an endless vista. So we go about our petty tasks, hardly aware of our listless attitude tow

Only the deaf appreciate hearing, only the blind realize the manifold blessings
15、 that lie in sight. Particularly does this observation apply to those who have lost sight and hearing in adult life. But those who have never suffered impairment of sight or hearing seldom make the fullest use of these blessed faculties. Their eyes and ears take in all sights and sounds hazily, with
16、out concentration and with little appreciation.
