1、 七下Unit 9 What does he look like?说课稿Hello ,everyone! Its my honor to be here to share my speech with all of you. .Im glad to talk about some of my teaching ideas. My topic is “What does he look like ?” which takes from book 1,Unit 9 section A (1a-1c).I will explain my lesson from the following parts

2、. 一、Teaching Material AnalysisThis is the first period of this unit ,the students will learn some new words and phrases to describe peoples looks and they will do some listening , speaking and writing . It is close to students daily life. So it is helpful to improve students interests. 二、 Students A

3、nalysisThey are from Grade Seven .On the one hand ,most students have a preliminar ability to communicate in English .But a few of ss still have the certain difficulty in completing tasks .because they are lack of vocabularies.On the other hand the ss have strong memory and imitation ability,at leas

4、t they are intersted in Enlish.三、 The teaching aims analysis1.Aims of the knowledge(1)Learn the new words tall, short, medium height, thin, heavy, medium build, hair, curly, straight in this period.(2)Learn the target language :-What does he look like?- He is tall/shor/of medium height. He has short

5、/long/curly/staight hair.2. Aims of ability(1) Develop the students ability of describing the peoples looks.(2) Develop the students ability of listening and speaking and writing. (3)Students can communicate with other students freely.3. Aims of emotion(1)How to describe peoples looks friendly.(2) S

6、et up ssself-confidence(3) Dont judge the people by their appearance and should be friendly to each other.4、Teaching key points and difficult points:(1)Master the new words and the target language and use them in our daily life.(2)The methods of describing the peoples looks.四、Teaching MethodsUse tas

7、k-based method, communicative method ,cooperation method audio-visual method and situation method,opening design method. I use these methods to give them more chances to practice and use English.That is “learning by doing , learning by using”.五、Learning Methods Students use self-study, cooperation ,

8、groupwork and competition to learn this period.六、Teaching aidsUse powerpoint and blackboard as teaching aids七、The teaching proceduresStep 1.Greeting1.Listen to a song about Dad,Where are we going ?2.Greet students and introduce myself.Step 2. Lead in1.Introduce myself and say something about my look

9、s.2.Write the new words on the blackboard.(Purpose: Students can understand these new words and new sentences easily , then they can learn them without any difficulties.)Step 3.Presentation1. Show four pictures on the screen about four kids, they are Tian Tian,Kimy, Andrana and Sindy and then teach

10、the new words.2. Show four pictures about their father and then teach the new words.3. Students read the new words together.(Purpose: Students are very intersted them ,so they can speak English loudly and express them freely.)Step 4 . Brainstorm1. Show some new words quickly and ask students to say

11、them as quickly as they can.(Purpose: Practice students memory.)Step 5. Practice1. Practice the new sentences and they should look at the screen to express them fluently.2. Practice in groups and then read them in groups.3. Practice in pairs and then act out.Step 6 .1a1. Ask students look at 1a and

12、then check it.Step 7 . Listening 1b1. Listen to the tape and then check it.Step 8.Play a guessing game1.Give students three minutes and practice how to describe himself or herself ,and then prepare to describe a classmate .2.Ask a student to say about himself or herself ,and then describe a classmat

13、e ,ask students to guess who he/she is.(Purpose :Students are very intersted in describing their classmate ,so students practice their listening and speaking English.)Step 9 .Have a try1. Do a few sentences and check them.Step 10. Summary1. Ask students to make a conclusion what we learned today.Step 11 .Homework1.
