9A Unit 1 Star signs导学案学习目标:1. 辨别代表12星座的标志。 2. 了解代表12星座的动物名称。学习重点:词汇:bull, crab短语:read your stars,have lots to eat and drink 句型:Its nice of you to bring me the newspaper. Ask them to describe the characteristics of that animal. Step 2. Explain that western countries use a different system of star signs. Explain that the western star sign system is based on the month you were born in, rather than the year you were born in.Step 3. Explain to students each picture in Part A represents a star sign. Ask them to complete Part A, then discuss the answers as a class. Step 4. Ask students to complete Part B. Explain that each star sign represents a period of time in a year. Step 5. Make up dialogue like this: S1: How old are you? S2: Im fifteen. S1: Whats your animal sign? S2: The horse. S1: When is your birthday? S2: Its on 10th February. S1: Oh, youre an Aquarius. S2: What about you? S1: I was born on the Childrens Day, so Im a Cancer.Step 6. Comic strip1. Listen to the tape with a question: What do Eddies stars say today?2. Listen again, repeat after it and answer some more questions: (1) Who brings Eddie the newspaper? (2) What does Hobo ask Eddie to read? (3) What happens to Eddies breakfast at the end of the story?3.
