Revision(复习) (3M) T:Good morning ,class. We met some foreign friends last class. They can speak at least two languages, lets revise what wehavelearned. The map of the world will help you. 1.Revise countries, people and their languages by asking the following questions: How many country names have welearned? Can you find them ?Where is Japan ? What language do Japanese speak ? Where is theCanadians live? What language do they speak? Many students hold up their hands and try to answer thequestions Step2.Discussion(讨论 ) ( 2M) T: We have learned something about the languages. Discuss the following questions in groups according to your information that you have collected.(根据查找的资料小组讨论 下面的问题 ) 1. How many languages arethere in the world ? Say out as many as you can . 2. What languages are spoken in the United Nations? Choose somestudents to answer thequestions S1:Thereare about morethan 6 thousand languages in theworld. S2: No, there areover 5 thousand languages . S3:6languages are spoken in the United Nations.they are Arabic, Chinese ,English, Russian,France, Spanish. T: Yes, you are right. You have prepared them well. If you want to know more about the languages , this lesson will tell you. Step3. Reading 读 1. Skimming 跳读(2M) T: Today we are going to read about the languages Ill give you two minutes to skim the passage to find the answer . Which languages are spoken in UN? Most of the students fin theanswer in thepassage. T: Well done.You know how to find theanswer in the fastest way. 2. Scanning:粗读(5M) T: I ll give you 5 minutes to read the questions in the workbook. Make sure to understand the questions. Read through the whole passagethen answer thequestions. two Ss read and translate them S1: (1) How many languages arethere in the world? (2) Which language is most widely used? (3) Why is it important to learn English? S2: (4) Which language has thelargest number of speakers? (5) What language do Egyptian people speak? (6) What are the official languages used in the UN? (7) Can you name any other countries whereArabic is spoken? (8) Whereis French widely understood? Check the answers oneby one. Step4.Group work:(小组活动)( 6M) T: Four Ss a group to find out their difficult problems and try to solve them with the help of the reference books and the dictionaries . Then one of them reports their results. If the students cant solve all the questions, explain them in class. (4) Spanish has a growing(增长的) number of speakers all over the world. Thestudents make many other sentences with phrases.(学生说出许多自己的句子) Step5 Careful reading(4M) (细读 ) T:After the twice reading you have the main idea and solve the problems.the following is careful reading, it will help you improving your pronunciation and intonation(通过以上阅读 你们已经了解了课文大意, 解决的疑难句子,接下来的细读 会帮你提高你的语音语调 ,使你更深地理解课文.) 1. Listen to the tapeand repeat. 2. read aloud paying attention to thepronunciation and the intonation. Checkreading: some students read fluently angd right, some students pause in uncorrect place.teacher correct them . Step6. Writing (写) :(6M) T: We have read the passage several times and know the meaning ,we can aslo use some of the key phrases. Can you write something about the English language with 58 sentences?Then correct the your sentences in your group. Ss exchangetheirs to correct (学生互改,教师巡回指导,指出错误 ). Step7. Summ up and evaluate(总结评 价) : (2M) T:What have you learned from this lesson?Who can tell us ?(说说 你从这一节课 学到什么东西,你哪方 面做的最好?) S1:I know how many languages there in the world, I can usesomeof the key pyrases. S2:From this lesson I knowlearning English is very important,because it is the most widely used in the world S3: Step8:Set home work(布置作业): 1.Finish off BPLessonn26 2. Teaching feedback(课堂设计 与反思) 这一节是本单元的第二课时 ,通过集中识词 ,学生基本掌握了生词,所以生词不是重点。围绕课 文 的理解我设置了以下几个环节 :复习讨论 -读(跳读、粗读、细读 )-质疑释疑写作(语言的 综合运用)-自我总结 与评价。 复习时 借助世界语言分布图帮助学生形成整体概念,有利于学生记忆 。如果能运用多媒体在某个国 家展现所说的语言,动静结合,从整体到局部更能激发学生兴趣,提高学生的饿积 极性。 初四的学生有了一定的自学能力和信息搜集能力,我课前让学生查阅资 料和网上搜索有关语言种类 的问题 ,虽然答案不一并不重要,关键学生能学会检索自己需要的信息,培养了学生的自学能力。 这节课 的重点是课文的理解与综合语言的运用,我采用合理设计问题
