Whats the passage/text mainly about? What does the author mainly discuss in the passage/text? 2. “主题句定位”寻主旨概括文章主旨关键在于查找主题句。主题句是文章的核心, 具有明确的概括性。主题句的位置一般有以下几种: 主题句出现在文首。开门见山, 提出主题, 用细节来解释或发展主题句所表达的主题思想, 是最常见的演绎法写作方式。新闻报道、说明文或议论文通常采用这种写法。主题句出现在文末。在表述细节后, 归纳要点以概括主题, 是最常见的归纳法写作方式。主题句首尾呼应。为突出主题, 作者先提出主题, 结束时再次点出主题。主题句出现在中间。写作方式为: 细节描述归纳主题进一步解释。3. 掌握找主题句的五个窍门首段转折处常为文章主题句; 主题句常包含文章主题词; 主题句常是定义型或总结型的句子; 首段出现疑问句时, 对该问题的回答可能是主题句; 首段出现具体例子或假设时, 例子或假设后面的内容可能是主题句。考点2 总结段落大意类【典例】(2016浙江高考C片段) . . . Its very likely that you want to have volunteers to help with the organizations activities. To do so, it should help to understand why people undertake volunteer work and what keeps their interest in the work. Lets begin with the question of why people volunteer. Researchers have identified several factors that motivate people to get involved. For example, people volunteer to express personal values related to unselfishness, to expand their range of experiences, and to strengthen social relationships. If volunteer positions do not meet these needs, people may not wish to participate. To select volunteers, you may need to understand the motivations of the people you wish to attract. People also volunteer because they are required to do so. To increase levels of community service, some schools have launched compulsory volunteer programs.Unfortunately these programs can shift peoples wishof participation from an internal factor(e. g. , “I volunteer because its important to me”)to an external factor (e. g. , “I volunteer because I am required to do so”).
