Words and expressions: dear, student, thing, term, busy, time, there, next month. 2. Master some useful sentences. (1) We have some interesting and fun things for you this term. (2) On September 21st, we have a school trip in the afternoon. (3) This is a really busy term! (4) Have a good time! (5) What (other) activities do you like? 难点 Talk about activities and the date.【教学准备】 A tape recorder, a projector and handouts.【教学方法】 任务型教学法、情景交际法、自主学习与合作学习相结合【课时安排】 One period【教学过程】 Step 1: Warm-up 1. Greet students as usual and check the homework. 2. Review the following sentences. (1) When is your birthday? (2) When is your fathers birthday? (3) When is your best friends birthday? 3. Revision: Review the numbers by playing the game, I say one, you say first. Step 2: Presentation 1. Teach activity 2a (1) Ask students to read the activities in the box and check the activities they have in school. (2) Ask students to discuss and make their own conversations. (3) Give students an example. A: Do you school have soccer game every year? B: Yes, of course. A: When is it ? B: Its on May 6th. (4) Invite some pairs to act out their conversations. 2. Teach activity 2b (1) Ask students to read the passage quickly and know the rough meaning of it. (2) Ask students to read the passage again and list the activities and the dates. (3) Check the correct answers to the class. (4) Explain some important language points. 3. Teach activity 2c (1) Ask students to read the following questions. What activities from 2b do you like? What other activities do you like? (2) Ask students to discuss the two questions freely and make their own conversations. (3) Invite some students to act out their conversations. Step 3: Practice 1. Teach activity 3a (1) Ask students to read the passage and the words in the box. (2) Ask students try to fill in the note with the words in the box. (3) Invite one student to tell hisher answers. (4) Check the correct answers with the whole class. Answers: like, basketball, my school, game, September. 2. Teach activity 3b (1) Ask students to read the following four questions. Whats your friends name? What does your friend like to do? What activity do you have in your school? When is the activity? (2) Ask students to write their own note to invite their friend to an activity in their school according to the four questions. (3) Invite some students to read their notes. Step 4: Consolidation Self Check 1. Activity 1 (1) Ask students to read the chart and try to think of the order of the arrangement. (2) Complete the chart with the correct forms of the numbers. (3) Invite some students to read their answers. (4) Check the correct answers with the class. 2. Activity 2 (1) Ask students to read the following questions and think of the answers. When id Childrens Day ? When is National Day? When is Womens Day? When is New Years Day? (2) Ask students to write the dates for these holidays in China.
