In this class, try to learn and practice the activities they are doing on vacation.At the same time ,try to learn some beautiful places they are going for vacation. At last,try to remember most words in the unit.Teaching and learning steps Step 1Learn to read the words一.First let the students try to read the new words according to the phonetic symbol in the world list and find out the difficulties they meet. And try to find out the pronunciation of combined letters. (设计意图:让学生养成根据音标读单词的习惯,特别是让学生试着找出字母组合,使学生逐步了解单词的发音规则,有助于其对单词的记忆)二.Then get the students work in pairs to deal with their difficulties.(设计意图:以小组互助的形式合作探究较难的单词,会使学生对自己不会读的单词记忆更加深刻,而且对自己会读的单词掌握更好) 三.Next,find some students to read the new words, the others listen. If possible ,the teacher gets the student to correct some pronunciations .When necessary, the teacher should correct the mistakes himself or herself.(设计意图:检查学生的发音,掌握学生对单词的熟悉情况)四.Last, get the students to read the words twice after the tape . Then give them some minutes to read all the words quickly to consolidate the pronunciation. (设计意图:根据录音读单词,纠正学生的错误发音,并且有利于提高学生的听力)Step 2 Learn to remember words一. Remember the words by looking at some pictures and then play a memory game to help them remember the words.1.Some beautiful placesTibet,HongKong,SanFrancisco,Hawaii,Greece,Spain,Italy,Thailand,the Great Lakes(给学生两分钟的时间,让学生能够通过记忆游戏根据图片的顺序熟练地说出单词,调动了其记忆单词的兴趣)二. Remember some activities by playing a guessing gametake a vacation,go camping,go hiking, send a postcard,go bike riding,go fishing,rent a vedio, babysit (给学生三分钟的时间,通过PPT展示一些图片的部分内容,让学生通过不完整的图片试着猜出相应的词组,并通过小组竞赛的激起学生的学习热情,轻松愉快的记忆单词) 三Remember the words by their using. 1.leaveBeijing is a beautiful city and I want to go there.So I am leaving for Beijing next week.2. forget-Where are you going on vacation?-I am going to Greece.-Oh,its beautiful.Dont forget to bring me a postcard. 3.rememberThere are many words in the unit.Can you remember all the words?4. finish I believe all of you can finish your homework.(通过简单易懂的句型,让学生初步了解单词的用法并记住单词)Step 3 Consolidation of words Get the students to write down the words with the Chinese given in Zhuxue. Underline the words they havent grasped. The teacher can also give some important words and get the students to try to have a short dictation. (通过默写让学生了解自己的掌握情况,对自己错误的单词利用课下的时间再去记忆,有利于学生进行自我评价)Step 4 读故事,译故事,用下划线标出生词。 I have a dream. I want to be a tourist, because I can travel a lot and go sightseeing everywhere. And there is a wonderful plan in my heart. If I take a long vacation, I am going to Tibet. I am going hiking and camping there. And I think it will be very exciting. I also want to go to Hawaii. I can go fishing and enjoy the sun on the beach. It will be relaxing.Of course, the weather may be not good. But it doesnt matter, I can do something in the house. I can rent a vedio or write a postcard and send it to my best friend. I think it will be very interesting, too.I want to go somewhere else,such as HongKong、San Francisco、Italy、Greece、Spain and so on. But its really a dream, I should babysit my son, I cant go anywhere. (利用简单易懂的句子配合一些美丽的图片进行叙述自己的故事,是学生能够集中精力的通过故事内容对所学词汇有效的记忆和运用。让学生在语境中掌握词汇,为学生学习、实践和运用英语创造了条件,加强了词汇学习的完整性和系统性)Step 5 画思维树(利用简单易懂的句子配合一些美丽的图片进行叙述自己的故事,是学生能够集中精力的通过故事内容对所学词汇有效的记忆和运用。让学生在语境中掌握词汇,为学生学习、实践和运用英语创造了条件,加强了词汇学习的完整性和系统性)Step 6 当堂检测一按要求写出下列单词。1.babysit(现在分词) 2.hike(现在分词) 3.ride(现在分词) 4.remember(反义词) 5.离开 6.完成 7.度假 8.著名的 二、词组互译。1. 去野营 2. 去钓鱼 3. 去徒步旅行 4. 散步 5. rent a vedio 6.go sighseeing 7. go bike riding 8.forget to do homework 三、根据句意、首字母或中文意思并用其适当形式填空1.G is a western country.2.Who are you going s with? Mountain Hang is a great place. 3.My sister is l for Shanghai next Sunday. 4.There are many rivers and (湖泊) in Hunan.5.Dont (忘记) to lock the door when you leave the room.6.Julia is going (购物)on Sunday morning.7.Every year there are many (游客)coming to Mount Tai.8.How about (徒步旅行) in the mountain.亮点:本单元的单词与现实生活非常贴近,通过自己的亲身体验让学生更深刻的理解了单词的含义,单词记忆时采用了轻松愉快的游戏方式,让学生能够在学中玩,在玩中学;并通过简单明了的多媒体展示,让学生在有限的时间里完成最大限度的记忆任务。故事的编写贴近现实,句子简单容易理解,而且文中涉及到一般将来时,为下节课的教学做好铺垫。不足之处:对于一些动词没能够更好地巩固,学生掌握不够牢固使用建议:生词课不单单要看本单元的所有单词,还要统筹的看本单元涉及到的语法重点,在单词的讲解中融入语法的运用。当堂检测答案: 一按要求写出下列单词 1.babysitting 2.hiking 3.riding 4.fo
