Freedom fighters,- Warming up Listening & Speaking,北海市第一中学 刘玉芳,Unit 14,Martin Luther King, Jr,His dream was to get freedom(自由) and justice(公正).,Brainstorming.,What does “freedom” mean to you?,Being free to express your opinions,Feeling like a fish in the ocean,Having the right to do as one pleases,Not being under control,freedom,Freedom fighters,Freedom fighters are people who get up to fight for justice and fair treatment of a group of people. This group is often, but not always, a minority(少数). The action of freedom fighters are often directed against employers, military rulers or dishonest governments. Nelson Mandela was a great man because he fought for the freedom of black people in South Africa.,The American government refused to give black people in America the same rights as white people. To improve the situation, Martin Luther King, Jr stood up to fight for the rights of black people in America.,The white government in South Africa did not allow the black majority its freedom. To improve the situation, Nelson fought for the freedom of black people in South Africa.,Slave trade from 1701 to 1810,Blacks in ancient times,actions,run away,fight or struggle,demonstration,war,protest marches,In order to live a better life, black people took many actions.,And the situation in South Africa has also improved. Black people are free and Nelson was the first black president of South Africa form 1994 to 1999.,Now the situation in America has improved.
