1、Leading Children in the Right DirectionSince the reform and opening up of China, our country has made great progress. Our world is now full of different colors and opportunities, especially for children. Children who have been regarded as flowers of our motherland are now taken better care of. They are really living in a very comfortable environment.This is good but it is sometimes bad for them since the golden age of innocence seems to have disappeared. The new generation of Chinese live in a culture saturated with Hollywood movies, rock music and media which confronts them with sex and violence. As children are naturally vulnerable both emotionally and spiritually, these things affect children most seriously. Obviously, there is no sense in trying to protect children from exposure to it because it is almost inevitable. We should teach them from an early age how to interpret what they are seeing. Teach them to dismiss sex and violence as tasteless trash. It is our responsibility to lead them in the right direction.2、Health, Wealth and HappinessAs to what are the elements of health, wealth and happiness, the answers can be varied greatly. Some people consider health as wealth, which is the biggest poverty of human beings. As a result, they think they are leading a happy life. While some people who own a large number of money think they have great happiness, for the simple reason that they can buy what they want to buy. They are happy just because they are rich. And still other people who are neither rich nor healthy can also have happiness. Although peoples opinions on health, wealth and happiness vary from person to person, there does exist a certain relationship among them. In other words, they are related to one another.Health, wealth and happiness are the common aspirations of everyone, but only those wise enough can achieve them at the same time. So try to strike a balance. A happy mind can take you everywhere. 3、Which is better, Working in a Multinational or as a Civil Servant?Nowadays people have a lot of chances to choose a job. Some people choose to work in a multinational while others choose to be a civil servant.Working in a multinational company is getting popular. A great number of people are often willing to work as white-collar workers. The companies are usually well known for their great benefits, as well as the high salary. However, working in a multinational company is quite challenging. Sometimes they will be pretty busy with their untold work with furious competitions. While working as a civil servant seems to be attractive to many people. The most important about it is the stability of the job. People do not have to work busily, yet they can get a good salary. To some extent, it is comfortable. To be honest, I have a strong desire to be a civil servant. For one thing, it is a stable job. For another, the pay rises for civil servant has shown that working for the government is getting very desirable. Most important of all, I enjoy working for people, for the general public. 4、Shopping over the Internet or in StoresWith the help of the internet, shopping online becomes increasingly easy and popular with consumers nowadays. It has an influence on the traditional shopping way that we buy things in real-life stores. Comparing the two methods, there are advantages and disadvantages in both of them. Traditional shopping is a funny way. We can go to shop with friends. The products are really existent and you can touch them or compare them. We can also try clothes to sure whether the color and the fashion are suit ourselves. Nevertheless, there are weak points shopping outside. It is not convenient and it wastes time, moreover we are easy to get tired of walking from one shop to another. By contrast with traditional purchasing way, shopping online is more quickly and conveniently. We can buy things at any time and it is not necessary to worry about the weather is good or not. Besides, many products are even much cheaper than you buy in department store. Yet, there are also disadvantages shopping online. It is easy to be cheated when you shop online. Furthermore, the appearances of the products which are showed in the shop on the net are often different from in the real life. Moreover, we have to pay for postage extra for the goods that we buy online. I favor shopping in department stores over online. I do not fully trust in the quality of these products sold over the Internet, unless an improved management mechanism can be established. 5、On Overseas StudyIn recent years, more and more Chinese people have chosen to study abroad. There are merits and demerits to this tendency. With the deepening of reform and opening-up of our country, its easier for us to get access to foreign schools. We can grasp advanced technologies and our language ability can be improved as well. Whats more, with the rapid development of China, more and more overseas learners will come back, using their abundant knowledge to serve for our motherland. However, there are still many people who favor studying at home. For one thing, its too expensive to study abroad. For another, there are no language and cultural barriers if they study at home. In my opinion, studying abroad is good for us to broaden our horizon. Although some do not want to come home, we are glad to see that there are more overseas learners chosen to work at home than before. For the above reasons, I think it is not a bad thing for more and more Chinese study abroad. 6、The Art of Establishing Harmonious Relationship between peopleIn a competitive society, people are inevitable involved with each other and all the time, so it is very necessary for people to establish harmonious relationship between people. People are concerned about how to get on with one another in harmony. There are many ways of establishing harmonious relationship between people. A smile can always shorten the distance from others. For example, a smile can fight the unhappy situation of friends. I always believe its the most beautiful language in the world. Moreover, to share your happiness and sadness with him or her will make your relationship get steadier and steadier step by step. Whats more, with the development of commodity, more trust should be built between people. As a result, a harmonious society will be established with trust and happiness. From my point of view, there should be more opportunities for people to communicate, such as a conversation in a family, a small meeting among friends. Thus making a wonderful world for us to understand each other.7、My Ideal JobWith the development of the economy and the education, more and more people are high educated, and that directly leads to the fierce competition in finding a job. So nowadays it is more and more difficult to find a job, especially a job that you like to do.For me, if it is possible, I think my ideal job is to be a teacher. First of all, a teachers job is very important because a teacher provides students with knowledge. And meanwhile I can also learn a lot from my students. You may have read or heard about something but you can never get an accurate picture of it until you see it for yourself. Seeing is believing. No matter how well educated you are, there is always a lot for you to learn through traveling. Different people may have different answers to this question. Some people may think that money and power are the most important for ones life. Others may regard devotion and success as essential part of their life. As far as Im concerned I agree with the latter instead of the former.There goes a proverb” No pains, no gains”, which means that you have to make great efforts if you want to achieve some success. In our country as well as in other countries, there are many scientists who spend much of their time and energy doing research work. Though they dont necessarily earn much money, they are very happy when they succeed, because they have done something meaningful and have contributed, to a certain degree, to human beings.I believe, ones value lies in serving the people, the country and the whole society. People who make contributions, no matter big or small, should be remembered and respected. The point is what you can do, but not how people look at you. It is how much you contribute, not how much you gain. I think this is the true meaning of life that everyone of us should have.10、More self-centered and Unsympathetic or NotIn recent years, more and more people in China complain that people are indifferent to others. Some even worry that the indifferent young generation might ruin the future of China. To be sure, some people cannot see eye to eye with this view. But, I would like to content that we young people today are in general more self-centered and unsympathetic than our previous generations. For example,most young people choose to attend exclusively to their own needs. In their eyes, it is all too natural to seek satisfaction from what they do, even if it may mean inconvenience to others. Take my dormitory for example. It is a common scene here that a roommate cheerfully talks to his girlfriend on the phone at midnight when others are struggling for a sound sleep. One may complain now and then, but in vain. Life is a joy to them, yet they often enjoy it to the neglect of others feelings. For the above reasons, Ihold the view that young people in todays China are more self-centered and unsympathetic than were our previous generations. It is high time that we learned from older generations so that a harmonious and splendid future can be anticipated.11、Challenges and SuccessesWith the development of our society, things have changed a lot. Nowadays, it is admitted that challenges are a fact of life. People are challenged from time to time. However, different people may take different attitudes towards challenges.On one hand, many of the people regard challenges as opportunities, therefore they try their best to deal with them, in which they gain much experience as well as training. On the other hand, some people are afraid of challenges, because they are too lazy to make any efforts. They just want to stay where they are.Success doesnt come easy.
