Whats the weather like today? Its sunny. It is a sunny day. Its comfortable. So this morning I come to school by bike. What about you? How do you get to school usually? How do you come to school today? Now look at the two sentences on the blackboard. Study the structure of the sentence. How do you get to school usually? (疑问词How + 助动词do + 主语you + 谓语get to school?) I ride my bike.1a Looking and writingOpen your book at page19. Study the picture carefully and read the dialogue. Then please write down how the students in the picture get to school in the morning. 1. take the subway 2. ride a bike 3. take the bus 4. take the train 5. walk(on foot) 6. take a boat 7. take a taxi 8. go in a parents car 1b Listening and writingLook at the picture again. How do students get to school? Lets listen to a conversation between two people talking about this. Listen carefully and write the number of the name in the white box next to the student. Please do it individually. Then lets check the answer. 1. Bob takes the train. 2. Mary takes the subway.3. John takes the bus. 4. Paul walks. 5. Yang Lan walks.Now go to page 86 to read the tapescript. While reading try to find all the how questions and the affirmative and negative statements. Try also to cut/ the sentence into thought groups, study all the predicates, circle all the linking words and underline all the expressions. Thats grammar study, indeed.Read the conversation and turn it into a short article. 1c Pairing and speakingPlease read the dialogue on page 19 in the box.
