Another example is youre not supposed to eat anything with your hands except bread, not even fruit . except做介词,意为“除之外”,后接名词、代词、介词短语、副词、带to的不定式,表示把某人或某物排除出某一范围,即不包含在内。 如:I can take my holidays at any time except in August.
