Both sides in the conflict explain what they feel happened to cause the conflict. The person who listens to both sides is calledthe mediator(调解人).After both sides state what they think happened to cause the conflict, they discuss ways to solve the conflict. They try to e up with a “resolution” that both sides agree to.munication throughout the entire conflict resolution process is always exchanged in a calm manner without anger. Everyone attempts to use good listening and attending skills while people are talking. If voices get too loud or it appears that someone is angry, the mediators roleis to address this and have the people treat each other with respect. After various suggestions are shared in how to mediate the conflict, discussion centers on the best solution. Conflict resolution is used in many environments to help solve disagreements in a peaceful way. This is an example of how conflict resolution works in a school playground setting: Someone says that a student pushed them on the soccer field. The person accused as the “pusher” claims it was an accident. The mediator takes the two people who are upset somewhere in a quieter spot and talk. Each person describes what happened, and the mediator makes the matter clear to everyone by repeating what he heard. The mediator asks for ideas to solve the problem and the two individuals(个体)offer solutions. The individuals discuss the solutions and e to some agreement on the solution.Conflict resolution can work in many settings and it can work with several individuals at once. In any event, it is worth trying to get at the heart of the matter by involving the individuals who have a concern. It encourages them to analyze what really happened, to share their feelings about the conflict, and to worktogether peacefully to solve the problem. Conflict resolution gives those involved a structure(框架)to usewith a mediator to help reach an agreement. That is to say, it allows people to see a workable framework.21. The writer gives the example in the passage in order to A. show the importance of a mediator in daily lifeB. explain how a mediator works in a football matchC. make it clear what the workable steps are in conflict resolutionD. state how conflict resolution is used in different environments23. According to the text, what is the conflict resolution used for?A. for talkingB. for finding a mediatorC. for taking your time.D. for having a framework to solve problems.BTime and money are precious resources that managed well can increase happiness. Many people think that money brings happiness while others think that time raises more happiness. As for me, I think peoplecan get greater happiness if they use $ 40 to save time such as by paying for housework to be done rather than spending the money on material goods.Psychologists say stress over lack of time causes lower happiness and contributes to anxiety. Yet, eventhe very wealthy are often reluctant to pay people to do the jobs they dislike. But people who spend money to buy themselves more free time are happier that is they have higher life satisfaction.Rising ines in many countries has led to a new phenomenon. Many people get stressed over the daily demands on their time. Fewer than a third of individuals spent money to buy themselves time each month. They do things like buying lunches to be delivered to work, paying neighborhood children to runerrands(差事)for them, or paying for cleaning. Some experts say time saving pared with materialpurchases increases happiness by reducing feelings of time stress. In fact money can buy time. And it buys time pretty effectively. One reason is because time, relative to money, tends to be filled with personal meaning. Another reason is that time promotes interpersonal connection. Since both personal meaning and social connection are key to happiness, it makes sense how individuals spend their time.As a result, can we rethink how were using time? If we rethink how we spend time, and be more intentional on how we spend time, that may affect the happiness we feel.24. Spending money to buy time bees a new phenomenon due to higher salary.CI owned my own piano pany in my thirties.
