Unhappily,Ipossessneitherthateloquenceofdiction,thatpoetryofimagination,northatbrillianceofmetaphortotellyouallthattheymean.Theunbelieverswillsaytheyarebutwords,butaslogan,butaflamboyantphrase.Everypedant,everydemagogue,everycynic,everyhypocrite,everytroublemaker,andIamsorrytosay,someothersofanentirelydifferentcharacter,willtrytodowngradethemeventotheextentofmockeryandridicule. Thecodewhichthosewordsperpetuateembracesthehighestmorallawsandwillstandthetestofanyethicsorphilosophieseverpromulgatedfortheupliftofmankind.Itsrequirementsareforthethingsthatareright,anditsrestraintsarefromthethingsthatarewrong. Thesoldier,aboveallothermen,isrequiredtopracticethegreatestactofreligioustrainingsacrifice.
