内容摘要 总体而言，本文作者试图对同义词这一古老的语义学研究对象从语用学角 一二， 度重新进行分析研究。文章立意建构在对语言研究方法本身局限性的基本认识之 上，指出语言研究的多角度特性。也正因为此，同义关系研究本身，或者说同义 河范畴的界定也应从不同的角度锣? 丛一 ，文中本人强调人作为重要因素进入语言学研究范畴所具有的重要意义，指 出诸多学者对语义学范畴内同义关系的界定持有的不同观点。而后，笔者在对语 用学研究的基本框架进行概述的基础上，提出在语际交流中存在语境同义关系的 观点，即指事实上在语际交流中人们并不仅仅依赖于传统的语义学范畴内的同义 手段实现表达方式的替换，而是为了达到特定的目的，抒发说话人特定的感情， 或者仅仅是为了语言的个人创新或标新立异，选择一些其他的表达方式来表达同 一个意义，即从语用效果来说，这些词汇或结构原则上也具有同义关系。而这种 同义关系构成的基础则是语境，因此本人称之为语境同义。根据笔者的观点，所 有的语境同义产生都是语言在认知语境和具体语境共同作用下的结果，而人脑的 联想功能在此具有异常重要的作用。作者在列举大量实例的基础上试对语境同义 关系构成的途径、方式进行分类研究并试图对语境同义关系的特征作一总结。 我们认为，语用同义词实际上是词汇语义变体的一种。词汇语义变体的词 义常常介乎于规范与不规范之间，封闭型很差。这种不稳定性正是词汇语义信息 “隐性”的表现。一个词的语言运用过程对词的意义能产生重要影响。也就是说， 随着语义变体的一般化、社会化进程也许会出现对其新的语义概括，而进入词典 编纂者的视野，被收入辞典。 由于语境的无限可能性和语言的无限创造性，我们不可能把所有语境同义
