这部小说始终影响着一代又一代的读者，使他们不断从中汲取力量，去发 展自身，实现自我。中国读者从简- 爱身上学到了她的独立精神。读者的 厚爱促使简爱的译本不断在中国问世。迄今为止，简爱的中 译本有十几种之多，其中以李霁野和黄源深的译本较为有名。它的第一个 全译本由李霁野翻译，首先作为世界文库单行本印行，然后以简爱 自传为书名，由文化生活出版社e t n ? ，改名为简爱后不断再版。 二十世纪八十年代，李霁野重译了简爱。李译本深受读者欢迎，获 得成功。由译林出版社出版的黄源深的译本也颇具影响，上海教育出版社 还出版了由黄源深加注的简爱原著。读者对黄译本推崇备至，其译 本大获成功。读者对如何欣赏、选择不同译本兴致盎然，对简爱译 本的评论也应运而生，但大多数评论者单纯从语言的角度评价译文，得出 孰高孰低的简单结论，而未探究导致差异的深层原因。因此，本文尝试从 语言和超语言角度对简爱两译本( 李译和黄译) 作全面的评析，指 出不同的历史时代、意识形态、赞助人、主流诗学影响到译者的翻译观点 和翻译策略，进一步影响剑译文，同时对译本从语言、风格和文化上加以 分析，以证实本文作者的观点，从而得出结论：不同的译本，只要能体现 时代的要求、忠实地反映译者的翻译观，就是好译本：而新一代的译者， 也可考虑上述诸种因素，使自己的译文更符合时代需求。本文除引言。和结 语外，共分五章。 引言简要介绍了本文的主题和基本结构。 第一章对夏洛蒂勃朗特、简爱及其在中国的翻译作了简要说 明，同时指出影响翻译的因素。 第二章按不同的翻译年代( 即三十年代、八十年代和九十年代后) ， 分别从历史背景、赞助人、主流诗学、译者及其翻译观等方面阐述影响 简爱两个译本翻译以及读者对译本接受的背景因素。 第三章从语言的层面对两译本进行评析，涉及到措词、搭配、欧化语 法和误译。
