内容摘要 围城是我国“五四”以后现代文学史上的杰出作品之一。围城中运用了大 量的语言变异，突出了作者的写作风格和作品的艺术感染力。这既是这部小说的成 功之处，也是值得赏析的地方。本文中谈到的语言变异，是具体语言使用中的变异， 是偏离语言常规，创造性地使用语言。语言的变异使用能使读者从一种对常规语言 的麻木状态中清醒过来，进而感知语言的艺术。文章从等效的角度来探讨小说围 城中语言变异的翻译。奈达的等效理论自问世以来，在国内外翻译界都产生了深 远的影响。由于尤金奈达的等效翻译理论建立在圣经翻译的基础之上，一些翻 译学家认为这一理论对其它文体的指导意义不大。然而，圣经从根本上讲，也 是一部文学作品。因此从这个意义上说，等效理论对于文学翻译不仅有极其重要的 指导意义，也是评价文学翻译是否成功的一个标准。 本文选取了围城中主要的几种语言变异形式并从表层结构变异，深层结构 变异和其它变异几个层面来探讨。本文运用奈达和金陧的等效翻译理论，分析凯利 和茅国权译本中对各个类型变异的翻译方法和所达到的翻译效果。根据等效翻译理 论，为了使译文对读者产生的效果和原文对读者产生的效果大致相等，两位译者采 用了灵活多样的翻译方法。总的来说，达到了比较理想的翻译效果。本文意在通过 分析特定文学文本中的语言变异及其翻译，引起翻译研究者和译者对语言变异翻译 的重视，加深译者对语言变异现象的认识，对译者准确把握翻译方法，提高译文质 量起到积极的作用。 本文的第一章是引言部分，简要介绍了小说围城及其作者钱钟书，围城 英译本及其译者，概述了围城英译本的研究情况，最后阐明了论文的写作意义。 第二章介绍了变异这种语言现象，分析了变异和常规的关系，介绍了变异种类 和几个与变异相关的概念，明确了本文所要探讨的变异的范围。 第三章是翻译理论综述，介绍了等效理论在国内外翻译界的发展状况，重点阐 述了尤金奈达的等效翻译理论，介绍了其理论背景和特点，阐述了该理论对变异翻 译的指导意义。 第四章是本论文的重点章节，着重探讨了凯利和茅国权在翻译围城英译本 时，对各种语言变异的翻译采用的策略，包括对应翻译，直译，直译加注，放弃变 异形式等几种策略。 本论文列举了大量围城中语言变异翻译的例子，并以此来证明以等效为基 硕士学位论文
