中文摘要众所周知，培养学生的写作能力是英语教学的目标之一。但一直以来，英语写作对中国大学生和教授大学英语写作的教师来说都是一个难题。在具体的教学实践中，对英语写作的研究从未停止过。目前，英语写作教学中存在两种较为著名的写作方法，即：结果写作教学法和过程写作教学法。前者有助于学生写作前能对文章的组织有一个较为清楚的概念，但注重结果，因此对提高学生写作水平收效甚微；后者有助于培养学生写作的交际意识，而重点放到写作过程上又费时颇多。所以两者在现行的大学英语教学中都难以实用。中国学生英语作文中缺乏篇章性已成为一个普遍的现象，但上述两种英语写作教学方法都不能很好地解决这一问题。因此提高学生作文的篇章性是一个亟需解决的问题。当今在语言学界和外语教学中，对篇章的关注越来越多。篇章不仅仅是由其中的单个句子组成，还包括对篇章起制约作用的其他因素，而其中最重要的因素就是文章本身所具有的篇章性。区别篇章与非篇章的一个最重要的标准是看是否具有篇章性。b e a u g r a n d e 和d r e s s i e r ( 1 9 8 1 ) 提出典型的语篇应具备以下七项篇章性特征：衔接性、连贯性、意图性、可接受性、信息性、情景性和互文性。本文以b e a u g r a n d e 和d r e s s i e r 提出的语篇七项标准为理论基础，并结合结果写作教学法以及过程写作教学法的优点，尝试通过一种新的英语写作教学方法基于篇章性手段教学法进行写作教学，并通过英语写作教学实验来验证这种教学法的可行性。实验前作者提出了两个假设：篇章性手段教学对大学英语写作没有任何影响；篇章性手段教学有助于学生提高英语写作，与没有得到训练的学生相比较，接受篇章性训练的学生在英语写作中表现更好。本文以山东建工学院地理系0 5 级的6 0 名非英语专业学生为实验对象。他们被随机分为实验组和控制组并进行为期1 4 周的教学实验。实验前测中，实验组和控制组的学生几乎处于同一水平：对篇章性知识知之甚少，在写作中不能很好地把握篇章性。实验中，实验组学生接受基于篇章性手段的教学，并结合相应的练习和指导来训练写作中的篇章性；控制组没有进行篇章性手段教学及训练。实验后测中，实验组和控制组，实验组前后，以及控制组前后进行了对比分析。并对实验班学生进行半公开性采访，以进一步对实验效果进行分析。所得数据通过软件s p s s1 2 0 进行统计分析。实验结果表明：教学实验后，两个组的作文呈现出显著差异：实验组学生与控制组学生相比，其作文前后连贯，逻辑性强，篇章性突出。这表明，基于篇章性手段教学有助于提高学生的英语写作，实验结果与第二个假设相吻合。本文共由四章组成。第一章简要回顾了中外学者对篇章性和英语写作所进行的探索和研究。第二章介绍了本文研究的理论依据。篇章性的概念以及篇章性标准的界定，分类主要参照1 9 8 1 年b e a u g r a n d e 和d r e s s i e r 所提出的标准。第三章通过篇章性手段教学实验，笔者对学生作文中的篇章性进行调查分析，并进一步阐述学生作文中存在的篇章失误及其原因。笔者在最后一章指出，基于篇章性手段教学法是一种可行的写作教学法，同时这一写作教学方法对外语写作教学产生了一些启示。在此，作者对大学外语写作提供了一些尝试性建议。通过理论介绍和教学实践得出，基于篇章性手段教学在理论与实践方面均具有较强的可行性。本研究对于大学英语写作教学具有一定的参考价值，但由于样本人数少，实验时间短，所得结果尚有一定的局限性，需要在今后的研究中进一步完善。关键词：篇章性；篇章标准；篇章性手段教学：大学英语写作；论文分类号：h
