摘要 诗歌翻译是文艺作品翻译中的难点，诗歌被称为“文学中的文学”，其形式 简短却寓意深刻，“言在此而意在彼，言有尽而意无穷”。诗歌中诗人经常会使 用文化意象意象的作用攀足轻重，为了以寥寥几行传达诗人厚重的情感及诗 歌深远的涵义，使诗人与读者心灵交汇。文化意象由于其自身蕴涵了丰富的民 族文化色彩，一方面帮助读者加深了对诗歌的解读，另一方面却有增加了诗歌 这一特殊艺术形式翻译的困难。本文从文化差异的角度探讨了中国古典诗歌翻 译中意象的传达，侧重于让读者在作品中联系自己的文化来解读诗歌，从而更 加深切的体会到诗歌所传达的精神和意境 文化是一个民族知识，经验，信仰，价值，态度，等级，宗教及时空观念的 总和，它渗透于社会生活的各个方面：风俗习惯，服饰礼仪，节日禁忌等等。 它又可以分为物质文化和精神文化。文化的交流在这个全球化的世界上益显普 遍乖重要，而文化的交流- 必须通过翻译。从宏观方面来研究文化与翻译，是看 一种文化是怎样被移植到另一种文化中去的，两种文化是如何相互影响制约的； 从微观方面来研究，就是看哪些文化因素影响和制约了翻译。翻译不仅要克服 语言的障碍，更要克服文化的障碍，研究词语中的文化因素怎样在译文中得到 体现。作者根据文化的概念，将诗歌中的文化分为三层：表层文化，中层文化 和深层文化。在文化表层，指如植物，动物等有形的东西，这在全人类共性大 于个性，因而翻译方法以横向移植为主，具体可采用文化替代，文化借代等策 略；在文化中层，指风俗习惯，社会制度等抽象的东西，这时，两种文化可能 出现文化并行或空缺现象，翻译应该着力于补偿沟通；在文化深层，指一种抽 象的如人的性格，生活观等，它是渗透于人的行为之中，只可意会而无法言传 的，此时，不同文化之间存在着隔离现象，主要表现为语言的隔离和心理的隔 离，在这一层面，翻译面临的难度较大，译者首先要重于深层的交流以跨越丈 化鸿沟。 通过对诗歌中文化的不同层面的分析，笔者发现文化翻译可以一定程度上弥 补诗歌翻译语言上所带来的难度。文化交流的加强更放宽了诗歌翻译语言上的 限制。 v 关键词：文化，古典诗歌，意象，交流 v i a b s t i 薯c t a 5t h ec r
