奈德生平及其创作历程；指出“归属地”乃是史奈德工作和生活的精神家园。首 章讨论史奈德写作的出发点和原动力。将人与自然对立、一味向自然索取、忽视 发展可持续性的所谓“文明”是现当代全球生态危机的根源所在。史奈德在作品 中表现了这种危机，同时也表达了他将与造成危机的一切力量作斗争的决心。对 “地球母亲：她的鲸鱼”是否为生态诗的讨论意在暗示：史奈德诗歌直指现实的 创作观可以成为生态诗创作方向之一。第二章探讨史奈德思想的自然及文化渊 源。大自然是史奈德首要的良师益友。印第安文化、东方尤其是中国文化、欧美 文化传统无一无时不对史奈德产生着影响。而史奈德对所有这些文化传统也有着 清醒的认识。在他看来，文化根植于自然，与自然共生共荣。第三章阐述史条德 的龟岛视域。史奈德始终用一种历史的眼光来看世界。国家兴亡，人事起伏，但 青山常在，绿水常流。所谓“自然”并非人为概念，而是切实存在，人类亦为自 然一景。在这个意义上，“自然”这个人造词也就可有可无了。在其“生态乌托 邦”的理想中，史奈德渴望超越一切人为界限，与自然融为一体。同时，他又脚 踏实地，“退一步”回到龟岛的现实，耕耘着自己的“归属地”。第四章聚焦史奈 德的诗歌创作，讨论史奈德脱胎于其生态理想及归属地实践的“新自然诗学”。 诗歌是将人与自然融合的载体。诗歌应将人带出形式的羁绊，带回与外部世界融 为一体的“无我”状态。而诗歌创作也正发生在人与自然融合的过程中。“结论” 部分回到史奈德的生命实践，点明史奈德将写作、工作、生活融为一体的诗学人 ，l 观。史奈德的诗学理论和实践给发展中的“生态批评”最大的启示在于：无论 足文学创作还是文学批评，它们都是生活的形式，都是生命实践的形式；它们共
