从顺应论角度看非语言语境与翻译 摘要 人们在利用语言进行信息传递的时候，总要有其特定的语言环境。语境 已经引起了语言研究者的广泛关注。长久以来，中国系统化的翻译理论研 究过多的注重于译文是否忠实于原作的思想内容和艺术风格。因此，有关 直译和意译，形似和神似的翻译方法的争论使得翻译的研究对象始终局限 于对语言现象的研究。随着社会语言学，语用学，语义学等学科的不断发 展，各个学科从不同角度对语境进行了深入的研究和讨论。语境分析为翻 译研究提供了一个全新的视角。然而当前对语境的研究仅仅局限于各独立 学科内，只是笼统的表述，没有专门针对翻译做出划分和讨论。同时对翻 译过程中的语境顺应缺乏系统的，根本的理论指导。为此，本文从语境分 析出发，以v e r s c h u e r e n 的顺应论为理论指导，采取系统性分析及个例分 析，研究在顺应论角度下非语言语境与翻译的密切关系。 本文共分六章： 第一章介绍了本文的研究动机，范围和方法。 第二章首先对v e r s c h u e r e n 的顺应论中能够应用于翻译研究的基本观点 进行了简要的介绍：语言选择；语言选择中的变异性，商讨性，顺应性及 三者的关系；语用描写和语用解释的四个任务。由于y e r s c h u e r e n 的顺应 论是语用综观下的理论研究，本章探讨了顺应论在翻译研究中的可应用性。 第一，翻译过程与语用学中的语言使用过程相似。第二，翻译过程本身也 是不断进行选择的过程。第三，顺应论中的语境关系顺应为翻译的语境研 v 太原理工大学硕士学位论文 究提供了具体的研究视角。 第三章对语境理论进行了详尽的综述和回顾。国内外的众多学者如 m a l i n o w s k i ，f i r t h ，h a l l i d a y ，陈望道，王德春等都有着对语境的不同定 义及划分。为方便翻译研究，本文将语境分为语言语境和非语言语境。其 中非语言语境又被细分为情境语境和文化语境。本章还讨论了语境与翻译 的关系及顺应论指导下的语境翻译中顺应论，语境的作用。 第四章和第五章是本文的重点，着重讨论了顺应论指导下的非语言语境 和翻译。第四章探讨了顺应情境语境对选择翻译策略的影响。情境语境体 现在话语范围，话语基调，话语方式三方面。本章通过具体的实例说明顺 应过程既出现在对原语文本的理解阶段，也出现在译文的翻译过程中。译 文必须要顺应于目的语读者，才能被广泛理解和接受。通过对话语范围， 话语基调，话语方式不同因素的分析，本章得出了翻译对于情境语境的具 体顺应过程。第五章讨论了顺应文化语境对选择翻译策略的影响，指出译 者必须顺应不同的文化语境( 社会风俗，自然地理环境，宗教文化及历史 背景) ，才能做出准确的选择，从而得到接近等效的翻译效果。文化因素是 可译的，但由于文化语境的差异，可译性受到限制。不同的文化语境需要 不同的翻译策略。直译法，意译法，直译加注法和类比法顺应了不同的文 化语境。 第六章为全文的结论部分。作者总结了在文章中的发现和观点，指出了 研究中存在的一些缺陷并提出了一些值得进一步研究的问题。 关键词：顺应，选择，情境语境，文化语境，翻译策略 a na d a
