摘要 在古罗马历史上，骑士最初是指参加骑兵军团的贵族子弟。后来把有一定财产但不 曾在骑兵军团登记而干其他营生的人也称为骑士。这样，许多通过在行省里包税，或在 罗马和意大利经商等致富的人，也取得了骑士的身分。从奥古斯都开始，骑士的社会地 位不断提高，及至公元三世纪发展到了顶峰。因此，研究罗马骑士的起源和发展，特别 是奥古斯都时期的罗马骑士有助于我们深入理解罗马社会各阶层及罗马政治的发展变 化。 近几十年来国外学界对于古代罗马骑士特别是骑士的起源、发展等方面的研究成果 颇丰。国内对古罗马骑士的研究则散见于各史学著作中，缺乏对古罗马骑士发展的历史 动因及其产生的影响的全面论述。笔者在借鉴国内外研究成果的基础上，通过运用所能 收集到的资料对罗马骑士的起源进行分析，进而讨论奥古斯都时期骑士的发展、原因及 由此带来的影响。 本论文共分为六部分： 前言：介绍论文的基本框架，概述古典作家的相关资料。 第一章：论述骑士的起源及其在共和时期不同阶段的变化。 第二章：论述奥古斯都时期骑士的发展，包括奥古斯都对骑士的重组，骑士资格的 重新确定、社会地位的提高以及骑士所担任的诸多职务。 第三章：从骑士在共和时期的发展、奥古斯都管理帝国的需要、元老院的衰微等各 个方面阐述骑士在奥古斯都时期得以发展、受到重用的原因。 第四章：分析奥古斯都时期骑士的发展对罗马帝国产生的影响。 结论：骑士在共和时期的发展使其获得了大量财富和极高的社会地位，共和后期， 恺撤任用骑士作行政和财务代理人。奥古斯都继承并发展了这一政策，对骑士进行了重 组。出于其统治的需要，奥古斯都重用骑士，并为骑士设置了很多官职，形成了一整套 行之有效的管理体系，从而巩固了罗马帝国的统治。 关键词：罗马；奥古斯都；骑士：影响 i i a b s t r a c t e q u i t e s ，i nr o m
