摘要 本文对英汉音节尤其对它们的差异性进行了系统的比较研究。 日前，国内英汉音节比较研究中存在的不足主要有以下几个方面：一、英 汉音节比较，尤其是差异性研究比较零散，需要系统总结；二、英汉音节比较 研究多集中在语音的层面，着重对比内部音节结构方面的异同，而对音节的其 他方面如音节的运用、功能等涉及不多；三、在英汉音节比较研究中，倾向于 以英语音节为标准比较异同，而没有充分重视汉语音节自身的特点。 考虑到这些不足，本文通过统计、归纳、对比与描写的方法，重点做了以 下工作：一、分别从音节内部，即构成元素、结构类型、结构层次，和音节外 部，即音节之间的衔接、运用、功能这两大方面对英汉音节进行了比较研究； 二、在比较共同点的同时，更注重其不同之处，从不同方面得出几对英汉音节 的差异性特点：拼和性和凝聚性、多样性和简洁性、一维性和二维性、连续性 和离散性、不可逆性和可逆性、结构性和意指性：三、有层次、有系统的对英 汉音节的差异性进行了比较研究，对英语音节与汉语音节各自的主要特点进行 了总结，进一步把它们归纳为相对线性与非线性。 本文在理论和实践上都有一定的意义。从理论的角度看，除加深了我们对 英汉音节性质特点的认识，对我们认识英语与汉语整个语言系统的性质特点也 有一定帮助。一个系统的基本单位的性质特点往往反映了整个系统的性质特点。 音节是语音系统中可以被自然感知的最基本单位，分析两种语言音节的性质特 点，有助于我们认识两种语言的性质特点。从实践的角度看，本文对英汉音节 主要特点进行的有系统有层次的对比描写与总结，无论是对我国的英语教学和 对外汉语教学实践，还是英汉语音教材的编写，语音测试等方面，都具有一定 的指导意义和参考价值。 关键词：英语音节汉语音节比较研究差异特点 a b s t r a c t t h et h e
