石页士学位论文 m a s t e r st h e s i s 内容摘要 语言是随时发生变化的。在语言的各个层面，包括语音、词汇、句法等，语言 的变化都是无所不在的。作为语言中最小的有意义的单位，语素不是静止不动的， 一种语言的语素系统也总是处于动态变化中。在汉语和英语中，存在着“语素化 这一语素动态形式。无论是在汉语还是英语中，语素化都呈现出日益发展的趋势， 成为一个不容忽视的语言现象。然而，学术界对此话题却鲜有提及。为数不多的研 究也大都只侧重其在英语或汉语中的某一类表现，无人对语素化在汉语和英语中的 各类表现做全面细致的研究。其次，以往的研究往往只重描述，对于其背后的深层 次原因的分析不够深入。而将汉语和英语中这一共有的语言现象作对比分析更是没 有先例。 本文采用定性方法，旨在对中英文中的语素化现象进行细致的分类描述，对比 分析二者的同与异，并从语言学、心理学和社会学三个角度解释同与异的深层次原 因。本研究的语料主要来源于作者所查阅的相关书籍和期刊。此外，当前的报纸和 杂志也是部分语料的来源之处。 本文在前人研究的基础上，首先对何为语素化作出了明确的界定，将其定义为 “原本没有意义的音节或独立运用，但不能参与构词的多语素词，现在构词上能以 特定的语义与别的语素组合构建新词”。根据此定义，本文认为语素化主要存在两 大类型，即音节的语素化和词的语素化。 从语素化的定义出发，文章对语素化在汉语和英语中的表现做出了细致的分类 描述。本研究将汉语的语素化分为两大类：一为外来音译词音节的语素化；二为联 绵词的音节语素化。根据施惠语言的不同，文章将外来词无义音节的语素化分为音 译梵语词中的语素化和音译英语词中的语素化。对于后类，本文又将其细分为外 来普通名词中的语素化和外来专有名词中的语素化。对于英语中的语素化，文章按 照语素化的两大类型对其进行了描述，即音节的语素化和词的语素化。 在对汉英中的语素化现象做出了全面的分类描述之后，文章从语素化所发生的 语言材料，语素化的结果以及语素化的方式等方面对比分析了汉语和英语中该现象 的共同点和差异。研究表明，共同点表现为：1 ) 二者均存在大量无义音节的语素 化，且多发生在外来词中；2 ) 二者都产生了大量的新语素，其中基本为能起到词 缀作用，具有较强构词能力的粘着语素。两者的差异表现为：1 ) 汉语仅存在无义 音节的语素化，而英语除此之外，还有词的语素化。此外，汉语的音节语素化主要 硕士学位论文 m a s t e r st h e s i s 发生在外来音译词中；2 ) 在语素化所发生的方式上，汉语一般先经历音节的简缩， 缩略为单音节，然后再参与构词。而英语词中的音节在语素化过程中，无需经历音 节的简缩，而是直接从词中被析取出来，表示整个词的语义或部分语义参与构词。 对于二者的共同点与差异，文章借鉴历史语言学关于语言变化的理论，分别从 语言学因素、心理学因素和社会学因素三大方面对其进行了分析解释。研究表明， 这三大因素具有较强的解释力。语素化正是在这三大因素的共同作用下不断发展变 化着。 作为第一篇对汉英中的语素化进行对比研究的文章，作者希望此研究能有助于
