摘要 众所周知，戏剧翻译是文学翻译的重要组成部分，但无论从广度还是深度上，国 内外翻译界对其翻译理论与实践的研究都明显不足。针对这一现状，本文引入关联理 论，并通过对英国著名剧作家奥斯卡王尔德喜剧理想丈夫四个中文译本的比较 分析，探讨了该理论对戏剧翻译的适用性及具体应用，并在此基础上，提出戏剧翻译 应遵循的四大原则，以实现最佳关联。 普遍观点认为，戏剧翻译理论的欠缺及翻译中的困难是由戏剧本质的二元性造成 的，即戏剧既是一种文学艺术同时又是一种表演艺术。如何最大限度地兼顾二者，达 到阅读与表演的双重目的是译者必须面对的难题。关联理论是一种从认知角度研究交 际的语用理论，其核心概念是关联，认为最佳关联是人们遵循的交际原则。虽然该理 论不是针对翻译提出的，却对翻译有很强的解释力。本文试图将关联理论应用于戏剧 翻译，并将最佳关联作为戏剧翻译的最终目标。 全文共由五个章节构成：第一章对戏剧进行了探讨，包括戏剧本质的二元性，戏 剧语言特点及戏剧翻译，并在此基础上分析了戏剧翻译的矛盾。第二章引入了关联理 论，着重介绍了该理论的核心概念，及其在理论上对翻译的解释力。第三章简单回顾 了英国著名剧作家奥斯卡王尔德的生平，中国的王尔德研究，并分析了其著名戏剧
